Quoteanonymous @giro1991 Updated old KM forks when Gecko finally cleaned up the positioning situation a few month ago. Hi can you point me to the link of the version you mention?

Thanks Kris I believe this is what I seek. As for "flash" I probably meant "html5 video". All the best for 2021!

Okthanks It would help if i was using this 'newest' version. I am using KM 76 Goanna77 weekly1 I refrain from updates unless absolutely absolutely necessary due to feature creep. Is this fix a drag and drog add-on / plugin? Thanks Giro

Hi, Is there a switch in about:config that prevents screensaver when watching flash content only i.e. youtube? I found a plugin for k-meleon based on Don't Sleep Pro but this affects whole browser not specifically flash. Regards GS

Wholeheartedly agree. I regularly donate to the project because good software like this deserves such.

Kmeleon works fine for me. IF you have money and want to spend/waste it rather than have a bit of patience to customize your own k-meleon then please do. Thats the problem in this world everyone OD'ing on instant gratification. FF and chrome were hell for me and to this day k-meleon loads up a damn sight faster than both upon clicking the icon, an attestement to the direction of software de

Hello When pages load content jumps to top if user scrolls down before page is fully loaded. Also known as "content jumping", the solution is to "anchor" the page. Obviously, in pre IE9 days this never happened. It may be a balance of web designers discretion vs. browser compatibility however. It would be nice if this was a feature. Thoughts?

QuoteJohnHell Yeah, with a macro and readreg function: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/MacroLanguage2 You could read the HKCR (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT) for the html file and/or HTTP protocol Windows registry values and check if K-meleon is the default to open them, and run it at $OnStartup event global variable. Can you kindly provide example script if not too much bother? I assume I save it as

Thanks JH I use my own installer, ie. a repack. I'm aware of the Preferences page, is it possible to prompt the user with this page upon first run?

Am }I the only one who thinks all these endless protocol updates is taking things a bit too far? Wheres the need? As if 256bit encryption isn't enough? getting tired of all this unsubstantiated paranoia in tech circles. The people who push it need a great big SLAP or a bucket of ice.

My question is like the title implies, is there an easy way to do that? A dialog would be cool, if not a makeshift solution would be to prompt the preferences window at first launch - one of the pages has a 'make k-meleon default browser' button which works well. Any ideas?

When history is accessed, either via menu or shortcut, instead of a window, can it be made so that it appears on the left of the main/current browser window - like firefox/ie does? I think its a elegant solution to preventing history window going behind. A 'close button' on the sidebar itself would be neat too.

Quotepejayuk Hi, I'm having similar problems with sites that use Recaptcha. I can't get the puzzle checkbox to display at all though. I'm using K-Meleon 76.1 - Goanna 3.4.4 (Build 20190209). With XP SP3. In the 'about K-Meleon' it says........ Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:52.9) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/3.4 Firefox/52.9 K-Meleon/76.1 Do I need to change this or a

page-flips is the problem exactly, yes. Slow connection is a possibility, true. It's not a grave bug, but I'm sick of seeing grainy pictures of buses, fire hydrants, chimneys and traffic lights! Also; I see no stairs, seems the AI is undermining itself lol

Quoterodocop But what site exactly? It's happened on every site with recaptcha. QuoteYogi As long as you don't provide the link and nobody can test, it's only guesswork. Here's an example https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item ( use this number for testing: 05029FE9FC6 )

In that case, why would seamonkey behave differently on the same webpage... Do you mean to say that seamonkey has a paid-for license included?

It could be ISP related, i.e. they have mcafee installed down the pipes.
