QuoterodocopAdding kmm-file errorizes my KM by itself. I've tried to rename it (and all functions inside), change code opening dl-page - nothing helps! But removing file or switching macro off in Preferences - both lead to correct work being back. A sort of magic! (My system is WinXPSP3) UPD.: Sorry, James - it seems like particular problem of my OS! Testing on the other PC gives no erro

Cool! I'm thinking more and more that latest KM75 dev versions should be added on the homepage, which still says "Latest Development Release: Currently none!" since KM74 came out! If people believe that, they aren't going to look further for newer versions...

Hmm... or is that not your own, but a native menu, Page Properties? Defined only english in menus.cfg?? In that case try the english names, although I have no idea if it helps. But special attention with that one, there are 2 of them! setmenu("Page Pro&perties",... setmenu("Page &Properties",... A bit tricky, they appear in different places, guess one in View menu,

@Dorian: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Yes I finally got around to copy RC2 to my vista machine and do a quick first test - and found a completely unexpected miracle Have made some notes, but getting too late today. Like Edit>Config>Toolbars+Menuicons is "not found", just a few simple things. BTW, would it be possible to always show "Menu" at the top of t

QuoteZero3KEDIT: One of the scripts with those issues can be found by going to http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/161718. Huh? But that page states that the script stopped working around 2013, and will not be updated anymore?

QuoteDorianThen why the test for $OpenURL=='' ? No big deal, just took the existing main-macros as example, without questioning. Am not aware of the inner workings of commands like 'open', that's your job No really, if nothing happens if there's no URL anyway, a check isn't necessary of course. But us clueless usermacro-writers don't know such details for

QuoteDorianIf the url is empty, open should do nothing. If not, we have a problem. Uh, confused, probably a misunderstanding? I never said that it would open if empty.. QuoteDorianThis macro was private, not supposed to be used externally. See no reason to NOT use handy native macros, thought all of them are meant to be used QuoteDorian Most of those Open_xxxx macro are useless anyways

Puhh... tough one. I could only try to scramble some workarounds together similar like "Open all Favorites in a folder" (macro Favinia) to get a list of the files. Meaning to get a file list of a folder, needs to open that folder as a webpage in the browser, with all files appearing as links, of which then a javascript can make a list of. That list of filenames would be stored in an ini

Thanks for including a 7z again As usual am first taking a curious look inside it on my old main machine, just checking a few things. Like the privbar buttons (now with clearmenu, great), but still no toolbars.cfg in default skin... And after just discovering last week the handy universal &_OpenURL_How macro and using it, it's already vanished again today! Please consider addin

Notfall

There's no need to "convert" the script itself, if it only consists of a single JS-file, just "call" it by a macro. The only prob is, how long is it? Don't know if there's still a size limit for "readfile" command in KM75. In older versions it used to be around 32kB, which was a huge prob and I made some complicated workarounds for it, but I have som

Need a tester with KM75RC  Have found a prob in KM1.6, bookmarklet-links containing special characters (like > { }) are not identified by the native KM JS_handlLink-macro and therefore not toggled. But perhaps it works in KM75 ?? Here's a test page, has a few example bookmarklets on the right side, e.g. "List All Links": subsimple.com/bookmarklets In case 75 doe

A while ago I've read books and seen films about another real plane crash in high mountains, it happened in the Andes 1972, to a Uruguayan rugby team. Absolutely fascinating. The plane was much smaller, don't remember exactly, guess about 40 seats. They crashed in chilling winter with strong winds, and so high up in the mountains it was nearly beyond helicopter reach at the time. Aft

LOL! Quite a list Won't become a default setting, but for yourself you can customize a lot. Some things very easy (splitting bar, red-green background colors), others harder but feasable (yellow color needs macro), some near impossible (at least for me, like ask about each script etc.) Or wait... aren't there some new "permission" macrocommands now in KM75...? Sure sound

Whoa... I don't like webservices at all, for exactly that unsafe reason, and just glad again I don't need them so far! Youtube-vids I can download with the modified but badly outdated flash9 plugin (last version running on my win98). That method doesn't work with most other sites though, but need them only rarely. Guess someone should take those old macros down... QuoteKaraI

LOL! 8 days early Perhaps it's not more confusing overall (opinions may vary), but the prob is people don't use it as their very 1st browser, and neither do they have pals sitting next to them giving tips for KM. So it will always seem more "complicated" to newbies, because they don't find their stuff at their usual places and have no one to ask, only this forum. Bu

UPDATE: version-2 It's now possible to store a modified URL for PAGES (not from links directly). HowTo: modify the adress in the URL bar before saving a Favorite/shortcut. IF the URL bar is different from the "real" adress - ONLY then - there will appear another input field for the URL. That's a workaround, because by macro I can show input fields only 1by1, that means

But you did find the HELP menu? "View" is a neighbor to it, some lines higher. click View > Toolbars > Menu FILE: Okay, now I get it: There really is no "FILE" in the gearbutton-menu, because most of its content is part of that menu. But he's right, the "Open" command is missing in that menu! And the "offine" command seems missing too, u

Confirm in KM75 beta3-3 on Vista :-/ Thinking about it, the menu name gives a quite wrong impression: People will except "User Macros" there, but usually those are all in the "Macros" folder. They will wonder where there user macros have all vanished, and others will think that all macros in program folder will be native macros. No idea what to do, first thought perhaps r

Perhaps... add a visible "?" button in the minimum-GUI (or all skins?) It should open the Help menu. But as first line in this menu should be a new link ("HELP"?) that opens a page with 1st-install tips, about skins and toolbars, info about right-click menus on many buttons (very unusual without a visible arrow), privbar etc. The second line should be "Hide menu bar&qu

@John: I fully agree, being a fan of buttons-buttons-buttons. But Dorian is the exact opposite and heavily into this newfangled minimum-GUI thing and thinks it necessary to compete with Chrome&Co, so doesn't understand us  At least there's no right-click required on the gear button, in the minimum-skin the left-click shows the menu. Still I think the original poster was a

QuoteChanson YuAnother thing,KM can't select and copy the words on a link,I always use Linktoggle.kmm by siria to do this! Cool, thanks! Nice to know that a macro gets actually used That reminded me that last year I found a way to get link names directly, and have updated the macro to version-3 (HERE) Was fun, but of course would be yet better if Dorian adds a toggle out-of-the-box

UPDATE version-3: (2015-03-22) Additional command for KM75 or newer: Copy Link Name Additional command for KM1.6: Copy Link Name > URL bar (In other KM-versions macro v3 has the same functions as v2) . . Why this new command not for all KM versions? Because the macro needs the injectJS-return function to get link names, which doesn't work in KM1.5 or KM74. And in KM1.6 there

PS: if you prefer to have a toolbar button for opening local files, that's not difficult, but depends on which skin you use. If it's the Klassic skin, click Edit > Configuration > Toolbars and insert this among the first buttons: Open File{ ID_FILE_OPEN &Open... menu.bmp[4] menu.bmp[4] menu.bmp[4] } ======= If it's the Aura skin, use: Open Fi
