Thanks rodo for all your hard work Had overlooked the translation of tooltips, not being used at all to need that due to lack of users. Another possibility: perhaps accidentally off in View > Toolbars > bookmarks? Am not quite sure, but guess the pref only decides whether the toolbar is created or not. By default it's then visible of course, but can manually be toggled off. Do you happen to use the same profile for all installs or is it portable version?

The longer I think about it... Just fire as many "k-m.exe URL" commands as you have URLs. If the browser is set to use tabs, they will all open inside the same window and same session. Then again, jujulands idea is cool too. Hardcoded URLs inside the kmm itself, extremely easy to create and for you to manipulate!

Frankly, even with KM1.6 on win98 I've often wished too there was some more glaring highlighting possible. As long as only few tabs are open it's easy, the button looks pressed, light gray on middle gray. But with some 20-30 tabs open I have to look really hard and often search and riddle for several seconds to distinguish the active tab.
