QuoteZvonko Can anyone here confirm the described behaviour of the site in KM? I have a convertible with a touch screen. Yes, even though I might not be using the same version, but I have other sites too that behave the same way and, in my opinion, is a mix of some sort of CSS with JavaScript version (in this case, as the CSS is based on custom entries) what causes it, so you can't do anyt

Please, panzer, post your other browsers in this thread, thank you. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?12,149556 Anyway, this topic was intended to know light alternatives to K-meleon. Your posting are out of topic and even against K-meleon itself.

You aren't at all. Could have been because we might be using different versions. You know, this is the wild jungle, ones using X and others using Y. QuoteSlickone I'm getting old. I know the feeling If things aren't where we expect...

QuoteSlickone QuoteJohnHell Tick at bottom of the dialog the option to close after download. If it is too quick and you can't, go to Preference Panel > Browsing > File handling. The only window I ever see is the same one that stays on the screen, which has no option to disable. I had also looked in Browsing > File handling a few times, but didn't see anything to disable it.

Is not after install, but if you plan to deploy or just as a checker, a macro to check it: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,149478

A macro to check at Startup if K-meleon is the default browser. You can control if asks every start from Help menu. Note: this macro is intended for default registration of the browser as default one in the system. If you manually change the default associations in your Windows installation it may fail as it can't check them. In this case may be necessary to disable it through the menu

Quotegiro1991 Thanks JH I use my own installer, ie. a repack. I'm aware of the Preferences page, is it possible to prompt the user with this page upon first run? Yeah, with a macro and readreg function: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/MacroLanguage2 You could read the HKCR (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT) for the html file and/or HTTP protocol Windows registry values and check if K-meleon is t

I told the other day and I had say in other words earlier, that is so sad that early adoption, because there isn't any real need, any real chance of real scenario attack, less directly to normal users, from low budget crackers/organizations, to really, really, be continuously adopting the latest, and it is sad how Internet is forcing quick browsers obsolescences. The fact is that we are n

Sorry for the off-topic. Wasi, I told you once in the past, if my memory doesn't betray me, but, anyway, avoid posting the whole error publicly. Thank you. QuoteBorut For KMM errors to be shown, the setting kmeleon.plugins.macros.debug should be set to true, as siria reported. I know, I'm constantly using it. QuoteBorut For logmsg() texts to be shown, one should apparently select JS (!), KMM and Chrome in the console. (I managed to find this with trial and error. The JS selection makes no sense for this, but it seems to be necessary.)

Quotegiro1991 My question is like the title implies, is there an easy way to do that? A dialog would be cool, if not a makeshift solution would be to prompt the preferences window at first launch - one of the pages has a 'make k-meleon default browser' button which works well. Any ideas? If you use an official installer, not the portable 7z version, you should be able to do at i

QuoteBorut The next two questions... 1. After a period of time of using alert() for debugging, I tried to use the logmsg() and was expecting to see the results in the error console (F12). Hm, no luck. Are there perhaps some known problems arround logmsg(), or error console? No clue. I never used till you reported here and it doesn't display anything, so, maybe is broken, or maybe is wr

1. It depends in the context. From macros they must be called "¯oname;" but from menus.cfg or accel.cfg (and setmenu, setaccel macro functions) there is no need. 2. It was implemented in K-meleon 75.1. If roytam1 hasn't removed it, it should be available in Goanna versions. From 75.0 an below, you have to pass data through global variables.

I don't agree with your company conspiracy theories sometimes. It isn't all about it, really Is just what you just quoted from me and common sense, well, the lack of common sense. Login and sensitive information? SSL/TLS always, fine! Informational/download pages? Text plain and SSL/TLS options, fine! The rest is the wrong typical direction where security supersedes any oth

Quotesiria Quoterodocop KM 75 Pro Great, but try downloading that with e.g. KM74?? No chance here.... Not even with roytams updated KG74. KM 75.0 is probably a very important "last build" that runs on Win2000, unless I remember wrong? It's a bit strange that this jump was not at a major version number. (PS: and sadly last KM1.6-beta26 version for win98 is nowhere a

The idea is that it became broken after new Gecko engines implemented in 7x.y versions. You can manage them better through about:preferences url. Most of the times might works better if you just remove the file type mime definition than setting a preference (ask, download).

Maybe only adodupan or some anonymous user can answer this, but my guess is that the macro language is linked to the interface and I don't bet is possible to do that. I'd wish that too, as would help to develop interactive configuration pages for macro inis and/or xmls or whatever, but I don't think it is possible

You don't need to complicate yourself. If you plan to edit your search engines, just go to the preferences panel > Browsing > Finding websites and from the Search Engines tab you will be able edit it. Unless you are planning to deploy K-meleon, you don't need to modify the one at browser\defaults. Those xml files don't have any special complication anyway. There is one

Quotesiria BTW, what's the effect of faking UA with Opera12? What I have told in the post I linked above: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,147403,149179#msg-149179 In particular, with TinEye, without Javascript, until a couple of days, just a spinner, then, a warning with JS disabled, then not compatible browser for recaptcha even after you enable message channel, subdocumen

Quotesiria Yikes, this topic is from 2009! It was resurrected by Mello xD, but with a reason, a couple of days back TinEye.com stopped working because it introduced an invisible recaptcha that wasn't compatible with K-meleon.

Oh god, why you talked about Opera? Yeah, yeah, yeah, here at K-meleon website forum we may be user agents paranoids. You know what?, yeah, we are, do you know why? Because it works. Opera/9.80 (U; ) Presto/2.10.289 Version/12.02 (using 75.0 in my case, yours, maybe differs) I didn't do this when I tried Opera, I didn't think about the user Agent... Repeat all with m

QuoteWasiFH What bothers me that KM-Goanna is based on KM76? and KMG cannot load the page? The shell. They use the same shell, but not the same engine. Gecko != Goanna. Goanna is a..., we could say, branch/fork of Gecko by Palemoon developers.
