Sorry for this post as I understand there isn't too many developers among us but as this thread exist I'll write here. What I miss in KM? Numerous things but 2 of them are really invaluable. 1) Ability not only save sessions but save them to file on the disk/. I know they are saved into prefs.js and can be taken from there but it's not easy for me and all the more so for less

Nort, напишите по-русски. Разберемся, может быть. Чтобы не заставлять остальных читать непонятное, можем перенести общение в почту (ткните мне в ник) или на ветку КМ на руборде Sorry for russian, folks! I'll try to help my fellow countryman.

I found detailed Nort's post so I put it here in order the community can help: QuoteNort Hi all, first of all,I would like to apolagise, since,as a new member,I basically posted this message,in the 'General' section . ....And,I did gain some valuable feed-back.Non the less, the issue does require the attention of this section,as,Im quite sure there are *many* more users out there

Nort, please, give us more detailed and clear information. As I understand, you've got Win98 patches including KernelEx and try to upgrade KM to the new version (what one exactly?) I don't understand what runtimes you miss - if you mean msvcp80.dll & msvcr80.dll, then you can get them here. Also they are packed into portable builds and you can copy them to windows/system di

Dear newbies! When asking for help please help your helpers! Please specify your version of KM used. And general recommendation are: - if using KM 1.5.x - switch to 1.6beta-based or 1.7-alpha-based (there are numerous links to portable builds, working properly and not touching your existing installations). All modern flash and mass-scripted sites are usable with new builds - if using

I've started this thread instead of filling in "Freeware"-topic just because this relates to some old peace of code and his author, Fahim A. Farook. Also there is some story about me and that software. Be brief, it was my first alternative browser, found just at Millenium. Scope was my step out from traditional choice dichotomy between IE and Netscape. And not only it provid

AdBlock has an option to show icon in statusbar. It's not about move but the second instance (you can toggle them both on/off independently). This example shows the possibility of such behavior but I can't say more as not being software developer...

panzer, I'm really admired by your thread. I call myself 'software maniac' and could take part in growing this thread but I wonder if I can find something you've missed! Great job! Thank you! I've even found numerous useful freebies and services I've not heard. Magnificent!

Wyzo is fast, cute and functional but the last build from official site crashes permanently on flash processing. I've found and downloaded portable version somewhere in the web - it's working stable, so testing continues... I wouldn't like to compare Geckos with Opera in any way - they are different products with their own benefits and there is no sense to put them side by si

PaleMoon is CPU-specific now. So only version 3.6.x works with old CPUs - as P3-P4, AthlonXP (P2 are totally unsupported). So I can't try PM8 and see no reason try 3.6.x. This one cannot replace KM. Now trying Wyzo...

As I've promised earlier, this thread will be devoted to the bunch of KM remixes made by DugBug (known here as dugbugoffice). These builds are all about speed, security, usability and clear look so I think they are worth trying. (I'm not familiar with their author so it's not an advertisement but just wish to promote one more good KM-remix as alternative to official builds an

Quotendebord Gotcha... perhaps you could edit your earlier posts so others also go up one level on the site, making it a 2 click download. I'm preparing new thread post about dugbug's remixes so it will be correct. Quotendebord Who is dugbug? May I ask, as I am not familiar with that handle? I just know he is one of our community members known here as dugbugoffice or dugbugoffic

Already tested: http://www.browserscope.org/?category=summary&ua=K-Meleon* You can compare results with others: http://www.browserscope.org/?category=summary&summary_results=None&v=top So, KM 1.6-1.7 are relatively good while 1.5.4 and older - definitely outdated particularly in security section
