I'm not good with XUL either, and I changed because I found that entry similar to command ID after I found an entry in controler.js, not used, for windows, "case "historyCmd_openwindow":" above it it was the backgroundtab command. It works almost as expected. This is because the first time doesn't create a background window to the current but to the history window

I replaced in controller.js the string KMeleon.OPEN_BACKGROUNDTAB for KMeleon.OPEN_BACKGROUND and now I have kind of window open, other than the actual, functionality in history.

QuoteDorian Delete startupCache Now it is "worst". From bottom, the first 4 entries are at startup (I swear I fixed those richlist in the past :-?, oh but were css) The latest is for the open of history window. EDIT: yes, now work the copy link EDIT2: nevermind about the history window error. I removed the third slash of the resource

QuoteJamesD JohnHell I thought it might have my highly modified omni files, but if you are having problem with copy link location also, it is not just me. history/content/utilityOverlay.js 1 //@line 5 "h:\projects\mozilla\release-src\browser\base\content\utilityOverlay.js" 2 3 // Services = object with smart getters for common XPCOM services 4 Components.utils.import(&quo

Ok. Tested with windows and tabs. Crashes with the procedures mentioned are fixed either way. I confirm JamesD about unable to copy history links. @JamesD, that error is not new and it's not by the copy function but by the history window. I've ever seen it. I use the console error a lot and when you open the history window the error it's given to the console every time sin

Ooooook.... so a pref must be and a pref I found, and a mix of issues... I hope you can reproduce these... The first thing i found is that we don't play in the same scenario. You, tabs, most of you; me windows. First off. The first finding then was that the preference "user_pref("kmeleon.notab", true);" caused the mentioned crash on exit. Setting to false, or rem

QuoteDorian QuoteJohnHell Which one do you mean by old one?, prior to KM74? I find it quite better. I miss a lot the date and show the url of the item, that you could copy, for example. What I do now to copy it is go offline, clic on an item and copy the URL without actually going to the site :/ I can add "copy link" in the context menu. For the date I don't know. Maybe a

QuoteDorian QuoteJohnHell When you type in a drop down list, it starts searching in the whole page and "unfocus" the drop-down so you can't match other elements in the list with new typed letters. Oh, right, I remember fixing it, and your exemple work fine. Ok, fixed in the update 1. Sorry for this, as with the crash and testing one and another. I missed if it was fixed or not

QuoteDorian findasyoutype: missed this one, what problem? Didn't I tell the last one in this thread? I found it! When you type in a drop down list, it starts searching in the whole page and "unfocus" the drop-down so you can't match other elements in the list with new typed letters. It's related to focus too (of the list). But in Firefox 28, at least, doesn

A release candidate? We can't abuse on you, but there were a few issues without a fix yet :/ (windows focus, findasyoutype, css errors display cpu usage on console and a few more that I actually forgot myself as I get used to them). For example, I don't know if you refer in the fixes to the one I just found now with km74b4 updated to km74b4u1 (as I posted above, I just updated thi

:-? For me the permissions work. I tried with popuptest.com and then www.popuptest.com. Both, added to permissions as "allow" made the popups appear :-? Make sure the permissions are added to permissions.sqlite with the "Sqlite Manager" extension or "Sqlite browser 1.3" I don't recommend the newer versions. The only thing that could be is that I didn&

@Rodocop, in 1.6 I had warnings (the icon in the bottom right) when a site requested a popup blocked and I had to add permissions some times. Look, test here how the popup blocker really works (I only did the first test (top left) Multi-popup test) http://www.popuptest.com/ Don't mix the unrequested popups with those that are tricked/called when you click in an innocent element of a p

Probably what rodocop said. That happened too when DOM storage was disabled BUT when I requested to Mediafire to don't force users to have it enabled, they amazingly attended my request and there is no need of it, and, even though, K-meleon, by default has DOM storage enabled. Anyway I created a new profile and worked too, so nothing blocking could be working and, except for the pref &

That doesn't happen in K-meleon 74 with MediaFire. You are using another version.

Sorry secretman, but you are requesting to make K-meleon Chrome. I will say it clearly enough: K-meleon is not Chrome It's not a thing of make a browser for the average or not. The browser is for the average, but you want it to behave like chrome!!! That can't be possible because this is another browser!!! We explained you why is this. When I read your previous post about

Quotesecretman What no? and this is too hard for me, this will take much time, and do not like to do that... Just copy and paste. And make a backup of the edited file first. Quotesecretman You said that this is unknow to you, so I suppose that this is not that easy. No, you got me wrong. I said it because it wasn't documented in the Documentation section of the web. No, obviously no. But you can create a new toolbar using Command IDs and skin it with your preferences!!! As this Command ID, unkonwn to me too, is handy enough, I already did a basic toolbar. sust_buttons{ minimi{ ID_MINIMIZE_WINDOW Minimize minmaxclose.bmp[0] } maximi{ ID_RESTORE_WINDOW Maximize minmaxclose.bmp[1] } clos{ ID_CLOSE_TAB Close min

Has any sense to have extensions.blocklist.enabled set as true by default as the activate plugin screen doesn't work to activate a "presumed vulnerable" plugin? I think this could be set to false for K-meleon, unless that screen has been fixed, as, for Firefox, the main reason is to disallow the installation of dangerous add-ons, which aren't available to K-meleon and plugi

Actually, what I posted is the content of a kmm file, if you whish to create a new one. I highlight it in green this time. Just change the text in bold with your FlashGet path, for example c:\\program files\\flashget\\flashget.exe. As is, only replacing the bold text with the path. Include this in a kmm file. Place it in the root\macros folder or in the Profile\yourprofile\macros fold

As if just only setmenu wouldn't be complicated enough (I can't deal with it at all myself) you are complicating thing more with plugins. Just a create a macro to the path of FlashGet: LinkinFlashGet{ exec("\"\" ".$LinkURL); } And add it to a menu (this may be wrong as I prefer to edit menus.cfg manually): FlashGetBuildMenu{ setmenu($_SendTo_Lin

Thanks, Dorian. Another thing related to this is that when you use the javascript function, it doesn't obey the print.print_whatever preferences, set through File>Print Setup, but the ones in kmeleon.print.whatever EDIT: at least for the custom top and botton texts.

I have to agree with him. If you print a site with an icon to print that calls to the javscript function "javascript:window.print();", K-meleon closes the window that called the print function and, after that, if you have other windows (maybe tabs too) openned, it tends to crash for whatever you try to do. This sounds a lot, but a lot, to the specific problem I have in Windows 2000 (only in Windows 2000) I described here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,127042#msg-127043 Could it become generic in GRE 30 for XP or other systems? Test it just in case is the same problem or with the same behavior.
