martin9, remember to apply all updates to beta 3 if you don't want to update to beta 4. One of the fixes was to make more responsive with flash sites, for example. Remembering downloadlinks: Beta 3: http://kmeleon.sf.net/files/K-Meleon74.0Beta3.exe (at the beginning of the thread) Update one: http://kmeleon.sf.net/files/K-Meleon74.0Beta3up1.7z Update two: http://kmeleon

Quotebellgamin I tried full screen on YouTube. The screen went full, YouTube posted a message that it was full screen, there was sound, BUT the screen stayed black. Can any of you folks get fullscreen at YouTube? If so, what is my likely problem? You can try by disabling hardware acceleration. Set, through Edit>Configuration>browser configuration (aka about:config) the preference la

Quoteadodupan Dorian, can you upload last beta3up1 and beta3up2. EDIT: to cvs Also, guys can you move your chat out of here? In general probably? Regards Sorry, adodupan, there were initially started as problems with extension not working in K-meleon 74. Guenter, if you can split these posts about extensions, do it. @chinarobin, @kmfan2 Did you add to the extensions folder extensi

Quotechinarobin @ JohnHell adblockplus extension in http://kmext.sourceforge.net/km74/ does not work, even i follow the instructions,is that ok for you? thanks! I don't use adblockplus because I prefer to manually use userContent.css and hosts to block what annoies me, but I gave a try just right now and worked correctly on one site I tested. I only changed the extraction

QuoteJamesD QuoteJohnHell But I found that the capability entries in prefs.js can't be checked inside the browser through about:config. Are stored in the file, but only visible through the extension :-? Strange. Strange is right. I will give this extension a try and see how it does. Are you sure that they are in "prefs.js"? Yes, the prefs.js file holds the user_pref("c

QuoteJohnHell What intrigues me is why there is a policymanager extension updated to km74 (actually 1.8 and above) at http://kmext.sourceforge.net/km74/ You could try just in case works as NoScript, the recomendation from Mozilla. Policies set manually, didn't work for me :-? I decided to test it today along with the sqlite manager (thanks to who ported it but it had a bug) and that ext

There is a bug/error in the sqlitemanager.kmm macro in Sqlite Manager extension. As it was taked from httpmonitor extension, who adapted it left a string and override the Development menu entry for http monitor. Also was removed a parentheses. Fix: # K-Meleon Macros (http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?id=MacroLanguage) # ----- sqlitemanager{ $OpenURL="chrome://sq

I won't remove it, in case is a bug, maybe Dorian can fix the permission if it is a problem with K-meleon and not Gecko. Either way, permissions are helpful, even they block only external .js resources. After a few tests, looks that the javascript embedded in the document can't be blocked. Only javascript resources as .js. <script> alert('aaa'); </script> Can't be blocked <script type="text/javascript"> alert('aaa'); </script> Can't be blocked <script type="text/javascript" src="aaa.js"&g

QuoteJamesD I have a question about the permissions for Javascript in KM 74 Beta 4. Do they work? I can turn Javascript on and off for the browser, but the block and allow permissions do not override the global setting. How are block and allow supposed to be used? Just that way. If javascript is disabled globally, you can't override. It doesn't work as cookies, where if you s

Another issue with type as you find: when in a drop-down menu, using a key to quick "scroll" to the desired element, starts a search in the web page, so you can't use another key to jump to another element, as it is already searching in the page. In previous versions , this didn't happen.

Firefpx can load "Last Session" or part of Session unless you add addosn which alow it to do so. It has that option: History>Restore Previous session And Seamonkey (from 2.x if I'm not wrong): Go>Restore Previous session We could say that it isn

Comprueba que, en la ventana de preferencias>K-meleon plugins>macro extension, tienes marcado "search" con la descripción "Provides web search functionality". Si no me equivoco es la macro responsable de la funcionalidad. Check that, in the preference window>K-meleon plugins>macro extension, you have checked "search" with the description "P

... you know that Flash 14 is a beta, right? Further, it is more a test version than a beta itself. http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html K-meleon is also a beta, yes, but necessary if you want to be compliant with latest HTML/CSS/Javascript, but with Flash there is no need of such beta, and less for YouTube. Even with Flash 10.x works. EDIT: what I mean is that you can'

Reading your message in the other thread today, and this, 4td8s. The best you can do if websites don't require newer versions. If I use latest is because of security flaw I had time ago with IE6 and flash (when I was testing) and because some sites require latests. If not, I would be using 9 or 10.3 (this the best hardware performance I had with) too. I'll use this message too to

Quote4td8s definitely needs XP or higher to use. ...without any other dependency in form of KernelEx or Wrappers. Remember that I'm using Wrappers on Windows 2000. If not, I couldn't either.

Is it me or this update can't locate extensions.manifest?... Nevermind, after do a backup search, it was the chrome.manifest in the root folder. It hadn't the line manifest extensions/extensions.manifest EDIT: still doesn't work. I go back to beta3 update 2. I can't test this today. But, what do you mean by the language?, the language of the dll wrappers?, because if it is that, don't bother. I mean, my system is in spanish and there are no problems. What it is the important of the language of a dlls (any dll, not only wrappers) is mainly for messages of errors or informational purposes. You can have dlls of every language in your system and still will run. I show

Quoteguenter Thanx adodupan and JohnHell, for Your efforts, help, advice and links. I even have found some months ago the link to the big Win2000 wrapper FAQs. http://win2kgaming.prophpbb.com/topic319.html?sid=738f00294996e2715e74af5f19bc30a1 But the OldCigarettes' main old download page http://oldcigaret.info/?f is a cigarettes vendor and advertizer now with no Win2000 wrappers.

QuoteJody Thornton So will HTML5 ever work in KM74? That seems to be a biggie to me (hard to ignore as pages will break on older browsers in time). Works with HTML5. If I read correctly will switch to GRE 30 when Firefox reaches it. But remember that even HTML5 is still in draft. Browsers are behind ever, thanks of webmasters who adopt what it isn't standard yet.

QuoteJody Thornton And what is v1.80 based on? That does get confusing with all of these different forks. In Firefox too. The GRE used in 1.8 is higher than in the K-meleon 74 branch just because Dorian is using the Extended Suppport Release (24ESR) but, actually, both are quite similar in up to date (or not up to date). The main difference..., you'll have to test. 1.8 is more like 1.6

Quoteguenter QuoteJohnHell As a Windows 2000 user I think I can answer. The 1.8 has the same KernelEx or Kernel Wrappers requirements as K-meleon 74. It was also compiled with VC++10 without tick the Windows 2000 compatibility too. I have no link I understand for a kernel-EX version for Win2000. I found no links to language that I can partly understand. I can not read no Japanese or Ch

In the KM74 thread, I don't know in which one exactly, it's said that doesn't work. But for me, worked at the first time without any troubles . Maybe all here with problems should show the preferences related (about:config) to put all them together and find where is the problem. My setting were carried from 1.6b2.4 to 74bx and working.
