QuoteAirSpirit @Davep No, I prefer to wait for a new AdBlock version because it interacts with engine and pages don't look ugly when the ads are prevented from downloading and it much more flexible. the creator of ABP is currently working on a new version of it so that it will eventually work on an official version of KM 1.6.x as I've contacted him recently. it'll be many weeks

Quotechrismt @ HAO I downloaded it and installed it But it is saying File MFC71U.dll is missing Does this file come as default in Win XP SP3? Then, how come I lost it? Chris mfc71u.dll is NOT included in XP SP3, chrismt. that I know for sure. perhaps XP doesn't know where to find it (which is sometimes rare). I usually put that file in the \windows\system32\ folder. you

Some development k-meleon.exes for GRE 1.9 still have internally 1.5.x strings. Some of Fred's NIX and Hao's CCF use components from dev versions for GRE 1.9. Some recent KM 1.6.x downloads have been made available here. (w00t!) I suggest ch

Quoteenaitzjga O_o Seems I'm the only one with problems here. Maybe they've fixed it up since the last time I tried? Anyway, even if once in Hotmail everything works fine, the Messenger's button to access Hotmail keeps asking me to reenter the password. yeah, I guess you're the only one with that minor hotmail problem. I don't use the Messenger button in Hotm

A built-in Session Saver plugin for K-meleon is supposed to take care of saving tabs that you had opened but it doesn't work well with layers. perhaps that's why I never use that feature in KM 'cause it doesn't work as well as in recent versions of Firefox and Seamonkey.

QuoteMatt NoScript is for advanced users. I don't use it, because it has some options I don't need and... entirely know ;-). Besides it gets more and more bigger, 450KB and growing. I'm satisfied with Policies Manager. Because of NoScript's popularity many sites display a message like "noscript detected" when you browse wit js turned off :/. I no longer use NoScri

Quotejmillar Wh4en KMeleon 1.9.1 becomes mainstream it will probably be compatible, (perhaps with a custom User Agent string). Google (or Scroogle) is still the most effective search engine for me. though you should NOT expect KM-1.9.1 to become "mainstream" so soon. it'll be months before an official KM-1.9.1 release becomes available. even some Seamonkey users are feeling l

QuoteFred I am sorry, but I forgot again to include the keyboard shortcut for a new tab. Fortunately you know already, how to add it. Merry Christmas to all. Fred aww. I'll add it manually in the current release but I will keep reminding you to add the Ctrl+T keyboard shortcut into the next release of KM-Gecko1.9.1.x (until the new release has it).

Quotendebord Figured it out. I read a post at MozillaZine where they said that the nightlies have not yet fixed the SVG bug. I guess that fix is awaiting a patch on the 1.8.xx Gecko machine that has not been produced yet and according to what they're saying is depending upon a new 2.xxxx version of Thunderbird to come out. Not sure what's going on with the messenging people at TB. t

um, simon, Kmeleon 1.6 could be based on Gecko 1.9.1, like Firefox 3.5.x instead of Gecko 1.9.2/Firefox 3.6.

maybe when Firefox 3.5.8 comes out, which could be mid-February 2010. if not by then (or even later), get in touch with Hao and let him know about the updated FF 3.5.x release so he can incorporate that into the CCF 0.096.5 release.

QuoteDaveski17 I had the same problem running Vista (Home Premium) with K-Meleon 1.5.1. There has been at least one service pack for Vista since then. TWO service packs to be exact, Dave. I may give the upcoming K-meleon 1.5.4 a try on my mom's Vista SP2 Home Basic edition laptop. Haven't used K-meleon for a few months since I un-installed KM 1.5.3 completely. Check the KM Develop

a K-meleon 1.54 release is almost ready. there's a release candidate of KM 1.54 available now. as for continuing GRE 1.8.1.x updates for TB2/SM1.1.x, still undecided. an upcoming TB 2.0.0.24 release is being planned but no timetable for that one, along with an upcoming SM 1.1.19 release also TBD (to be determined). GRE 1.8 updates for FF2.x were retired in Dec. 2008.

though the upcoming SM 2.0.3 release could be due out in mid-February, fred. time for me to test out all unofficial KM-gecko1.9.x variations. I'm about to give up on KM 1.5.x since I don't see any sign of anymore new gecko 1.8.1.x updates being posted for SM 1.1.x and TB 2.0.x. btw, fred, please remove KM-S201 filedropper link from your first post in this topic. file has been re

Quotendebord 4td8s, Let's hope he can get a bug fix through. As you say, let's hope for an Xmas present! ndebord, it looks like we'll have to wait longer - perhaps sometime in 2010. there are no immediate plans of a Seamonkey 1.1.19 release and no word whatsoever from KaiRo if and when it will be available. though interestingly enough, the MozillaWiki Releases page se

Quotendebord Fred, Thanks for the variaiton. Much needed for some of my sites that absolutely require JavaScript. Now to see if SM will do anything with the off again, on again SM 1.1.19 with Gecko 1.8 bugfix. you'll have to wait for an official announcement from Mr. KaiRo on an upcoming SM 1.1.19 release, ndebord. it could be due out by the end of December or sometime in the start of

Quotendebord So long as Seamonkey 1.xxxx has security updates, KM will be safe imo. unfortunately, ndebord, Mr. KaiRo may stop offering any new SM 1.x security updates soon. but there may be just one more SM 1.x release that will have the updated gecko 1.8.1.24 code in either late December 2009 or early next year. support for SM 1.x is almost coming to an end after the release of SM 2.x.

Quotedesga2 - KM 1.6 will released in February or March 2010 (possibly first Beta with Gecko 1.9.1) and I think final release could be for May but posibily it already include Gecko 1.9.2 (based in Seamonkey 2.1). no desga2. Seamonkey 2.1 will be using Gecko 1.9.3 based code similar to Firefox 3.7. I know because I've tested an SM 2.1a1pre nightly build earlier this month which has Gecko

Thanks, Fred. got the Ctrl+T hotkey combo working in K-meleon-SM2. though it would be nice to also modify the "New tab" menu command on the File Menu and change it to read "New Tab Ctrl+T" ALL the other web browsers like IE/Opera/SM/Firefox/Chrome not only shows the New tab command on the File menu, but also shows the Ctrl+T hotkey shortcut next to the New Tab command.
