K-Meleon's download manager isn't full featured at the moment. I recommend a standalone download manager compatible with K-Meleon. I use Free Downloader, and it's much faster than any internal download manager found in many browsers such as Firefox's, K-Meleon's, Opera's, and TheWorld Browser's.

Just visit the website you want to make your homepage, and right click the "home" button on the mainbar where a menu will appear, then left click on "Make This Page Your Home Page" in the menu. No copying, and pasting needed. Simple as that.

I have K-Meleon installed on Windows XP Home Edition SP2, and it works fine. It use to crash very rarely, but mostly due to the fact I have a poor computer.
