Thanx Günter! I see, but the prob is, smaller than 16px the icons get really too tiny, and although wanting space I'm at the same time also a huge fan of "short tracks", that is one-click access instead of e.g. two-way to the main menu :-P So I really prefer to have rather more than less buttons visible, incl. the main menu, but try to squeeze them a bit together. Like reduzing th

You forgot to also close that loader thing, right...? (I still doubt you need that, but oh well)

Hi Dana, did you also restart your loader...? (By the way, are you sure you really need that thing, is a "normal" KM start so slow on your machine...? ) And the pic must be in the folder of your actual skin, not that you put it in "skins" only...

A very simple little toolbar for your hotlinks 0-9. Those defined under Tools/Hotlinks..., not the opera hotLIST, which I tend to confuse all the time due to that almost identic name!! ;-) Example for a customized hotlinks-bar: hotlink-0: kmeleon.sourceforge.net/forum hotlink-1: translate.google.com (e.g. for translating own text before posting it in foreign forum) hotlinks-

WHOW - two great expert answers, and even simultaneously! Thank you!! 1) Menu bar height: Pity, but oh well. Just for curiosity I meanwhile took a closer look at it on my other notebook, the one with the tiny icons, there the menu height is about 32px. It seems all programs have the same menu height on a single machine, so guess now it's just some default system setting, rather than so

Hi guys, just a few quick questions :-) 1) Is there a way to have a lower menu bar (File/Edit/etc.)? I like to put the privbar beside it, but as soon as its set to "display menu bar as toolbar" it grows to 16px height. Preferably a setting in the skin folder... 2) Is there a way to show the tab bar in fullscreen mode, so that at the bottom there's no taskbar etc, only the tab

Just a couple backgrounds, except the first few only ultrasimple gradients, but nice colors (Hey I've read that girls are more into colors and guys more into geometry, for me certainly true - tiny variations of shades do make a difference *grin*) To "install" take one of the pics from the attached zip-file, put it into the folder of your current skin, rename your old "back.

That user-agent-thing wasn't meant to solve your problem, Dana. He wrote it explicitely, "not related to your problem". It was just a lucky find that reduces another prob for other people ;-) Did you log out as he explained above? BTW, how did you disable it in your firewall? I have no clue about those things, but did it happen to involve blocking some address or something...?

Just copied my whole KM-folder over to a Vista32 notebook (Business/2006). The close buttons work perfect, no crash. (Just why over there the menus are displayed in double lines, meaning always an empty line in between?! That thing stays weird!)

QuotejsnjI created the privacy bar by request for KM v0.9 based upon the original preferences bar for mozilla. It has now morphed into the prefbar for mozilla & firefox. For some reason it's not posted on FF's addons site. Oh, no wonder I didn't find it! Pity, but not too late yet. Anyway, great, I'll install the other too some day - so thanx for both! :-) (KM bar and FF

There's this nicely detailled macro and extensions collection on geckozone, by jujuland it seems: http://extensions.geckozone.org/K-MeleonTypesEn Alas, somehow I don't manage to download anything :-( While most of the stuff can also be downloaded here http://kmext.sourceforge.net/ or here http://pagesperso-orange.fr/jujuland46/JujuLand/KMES/KMES-Download.html there's just n

Hi Dana, no idea, but perhaps you clear it with some privacy option... Tools / Privacy / Clear Data / Clear automatically... Is there anything checked? Or perhaps you clicked on "Clear all", although, that you'd sure remember ;-) And already running out of ideas, LOL!

Well, not exactly the same subject, but related and not worth opening an own thread for it: On the KM skins page http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/SkinsAndThrobbers#backs there's a "Download" for backgrounds: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/?binary=internal%3A%2F%2F20557605914ea0ed06640779499df1f2.zip No way I get that zip downloaded! You can figure that out better than me, cause I'm no expert at all with Firefox ;-) Browsing in general works fine, script blocking seems to work too, and I installed a bunch of the addons: Some work with 9x, some not. But I'm too clueless to guarantee anything, so, nothing to do but just try and see... But if like, don't hesitate to try K-Meleon too, it starts in 2 secs, and

Yep, definitely compatible 8) There are two exe-files in the program folder, one for 9x and one for modern systems. I'm not quite sure about the vulnerabilities with Gecko 1.8.x, since I keep reading here it's outdated too, the current is 1.9.x? Just for the record, Firefox 3.5.2 runs also nicely on Win9x, if one has kernelex installed! Really nifty 200 kB proggie that makes a n

No clue about transparency variations, but the small one seems partly transparent? (Except for the fuzzy borders and the privacy bar)

I can understand it, the cross is just absolutely intuitive, especially for newbies. No learning curve, no riddling and searching around (as shown by all the inquiries), so why not...

Why here??? He has his own forum with lots of empty threads for that. And there are sure thousands of special game and girls forums out there. Not enough for him? It makes no sense, except for spamming.

Yep. And personally I love the privacy bar, it's the #1 reason I prefer kmeleon About ten buttons for the paranoid, hehe... To turn it on: View / toolbars / privacy bar To show more buttons (if the clear-url-bar-button isn't visible yet): Edit/config/toolbars, scroll down to the desired button and remove the crosses before the lines (PS: Just took a look at holaservers.com, si

Great, thanx! No clue about the gecko changes (sounds rather minimal from the version numbers), but the new commands list alone is already well worth it! Just this week I was looking for a current one :-)

Hey, but it's cute! I absolutely LOVE the little dino! :B The "K" in the other icon looks good too, but nothing can beat that little cutie Actually, since I just learned there are different icons in the skins, the one I mean is from the Klassic Skin :-)

QuotejujulandNothing in the text talks about K-Meleon, just an address which refers to his site. I have not to judge his site and his signature, but it's obviously just a post to refer to his site, and not to talk about K-Meleon. It's just spam, and I'm about to delete this thread too, as I can't delete the signature on this thread... Absolutely. The point is, that he

I'm reading some forums where people like to post screenshots and huge banners and huge animated gifs, and some of them don't care if a single posting contains already over 20MB. So they see no need to convert their 500kB-VLC-png's to 70kB jpgs. Each time I think it would be a nifty little gimmick, to block pics by size :-) So that forum buttons and smilies still work, and perhaps

Hi, am struggling endlessly with customization and thought I'd give up at last and ask ;-) A couple questions, first about cookies: Is it possible to add some right-click options to the Toggle-Cookie-Button in the privacy bar, and if so, how?? - "View cookies" (Tools/Privacy/View data/View cookies) - "Exceptions" (Tools/Privacy/Permissions/Cookies) - "Cookie

Oops... Thanks desga!! You're right, it works, I only had forgotten the text selection first Wasn't the first time so I should have remembered, but after messing with the macro I thought immediately that had been the reason. Oh well. Anyway, great that it works! :-))
