Quotesiria I can't quite figure out what to do to have ESC *not* close the find bar *confused* Could anyone describe it in tiny little steps? Open Find In Page bar, Use the mouse to focus anywhere on the page or anywhere other than the Find Bar. Esc won't close it.

Quoteforever update: after i had restarted my computer the icon changed its place again :-( Do you keep the default engine unchecked/unlocked and use different engine icons? If you don't then just disable Search+Icon in Preferences - K-Meleon Plugins - Macro Extension. The default search button in KT3 has the correct Web Search menu attached, so it'll work the same. See if that Searc

QuoteBear The 'esc' key only closes it if you are typing in the search box. If you say, want to scroll up and down the page to find the highlighted terms, pressing esc doesn't close the box (since it's bound to 'Stop') ** If you're scrolling a page, isn't your hand already on the mouse? In that case, use the X to close it. But if you're using th

QuoteJamesD Hi jsnj I did not know about the esc key. Is is documented somewhere? Don't know if it's documented anywhere, but it's pretty much universal browser behavior. IE, Firefox, Seamonkey, Avant, Opera & Chrome all use CTRL+F for Find In Page and then ESC to close. The only browser I know of that behaves as Bear's request is Maxthon. Can't think of a way

QuoteBear Is there any way to make ctrl+F hide the search bar if it is currently shown? (ie, make ctrl+F into a toggle) What do you mean by "search bar"? The extension? The search prompt? Or the the Find In Page bar at the bottom of the window? If it's the Find In Page bar, just use the ESC key.

Quoteforever now i had to restore all my files because of a "new version of ad-block...." message and now everything is fine..... so now i have the same configuration as 1 week ago. the only difference is, that i haven't installed "k-meleon extensions manager 5.5" now. Could that caused the problem? I have KEM 5.5 installed with no conflict w/Search+, so I don

Quoteforever Quotejsnj Couple questions: Do you have Attach Tab/Window Buttons to the tab bar checked in Preferences?[...] have you changed the name of the Search Buttons toolbar in the toolbars.cfg file? no to both questions...... it worked fine the first days and then the icon changed its place without having changed settings.... Well I don't know what the cause is. Something abou

Hmm...I can't reproduce it. Tried it with the German version of KM and w/KT3. Worked fine. Couple questions: Do you have Attach Tab/Window Buttons to the tab bar checked in Preferences? That has caused toolbar position problems in the past. If not, have you changed the name of the Search Buttons toolbar in the toolbars.cfg file?

Quotesenna if u still need, a way is write a extension injecting a js to recgnise and change to link. usually i use more search option than "open as url", sometimes u want search a word inside a link but there is no option with rigth click. U can press the search button and it will perform a search with selected text but also u can put the option in "rigth click" editing t

Quotebmoskover83 Ok after following your instructions without using Search+.... Ive come to another issue.... I copy the URL from the "Search Engines" tab to the bookmarks... I used Google.... I give it a "G" for a nickname..... Tried it out...... Typing "G" brings me to the Google home page which is good..... but typing "G" followed by my search brings up

Quotebmoskover83 QuoteJamesD None so far. I think I am confused. It is not the search results that you want to name, but rather a search box on some web page. Have I understood it now? Just to be able to type a keyword followed by your search, in contrast to the way KM is now, where you have to go to Google.com for example.... type in your search and get the results... but with this feature

Thanks. Which 1.1 do you use? My 1.1.6 didn't catch it. *Top post link updated w/the semi-colon . For those who've already downloaded v1.0.5, there's no real need to download this new one just for the semi-colon. You won't notice a bit of difference.

QuoteJamesD I am looking into your request. I do not know if it is possible or not. While I do that, you may want to check out "SearchH" macro in the Macrolibrary. http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/KmmSearchH Using SearchH a new menu item, Search History, is added to history which can provide a list of previous searchs. It may take me some time to research because the "se

Can't possibly have doubts about doing what you obviously enjoy just because of a couple ignoramuses. You can either ignore'm or just post the code like you usually do. Either way, let'm screa

QuoteHatschi But how do i customize the FeedSubsribe plugin to use it with my personal favourite Reader FeedDemon? Enter Reader subscription URL = ? Enter Reader Site URL = ? I'll update it to support local feed readers later today when I'll have some time. The update will be posted in this thread. The title will read v1.0.4 when it's updated.

Quotedisrupted all these conditions will mean many parameters will have to be passed to autoit and act according to the variables and write to prefs.js and send accelerators back to kmeleon after reopening to set back to default settings, this will cause some delay and restarting won't be instant..the script has to make sure all prefs was written properly before reopening the browser. w

Quotesiria Is it just me, or does anyone else also have probs with "Paste And Go"...? I mean when a link is in the clipboard, and you right-click on the Go-Button. Pasting alone works fine, and then clicking GO too. Thinking about it, it may well have to do with the URL bar bug, if so Copy&Go will probably work again too if that one is finished Just tested. Works fine here. Wh

Strange...experimented a bit and found that in 1.6a3b4, the visibility of the close frame in the popup window is dependent upon the minimum font size. Clearing that value enables its visibilty, but giving the pref a value of anything under 25 or so blocks its visibilty. Still can't get it to appear in v1.5 though regardless of the minimun font size.

Can't get the "view in room" popup window to show it's close button on this site's page: Art.com Tried it in KMv1.1 through 1.6a. The popup window should have a brown strip along the top where the close x should be. It's visible in IE, FF, Seamonkey, Chrome & Opera. Anyone else?

Instead of hiding it, to preserve space, keep it enabled but move it alongside another toolbar or the tabbar. Cover it completely with the toolbar it's next to. You'll be left with an arrow or chevron that when clicked displays the main menu vertically aka Compact Menu.

OK...yeah, was about to post that it works fine in KM 1.6a3b4, Seamonkey, FF, Opera, IE and Chrome using native browser support. KM 1.1 and 1.5 require either Java or another plugin w/ogg support.

QuoteCarlos Also, this is a little extra request that might be ambitious or not. Okay here goes: What about useing the tab bar for desktop applications too? Like a hybrid bar to vert windows programs in it and webpages too. Taht way k-meleon can demonite in its fullscreened glory like an opperative system on its own. Since KM is the only browser I know of that allows you to place the tab bar

no, the bottom left corner, redirecting in numerical value seconds to BBC UK *edit: Decided to take a look at the html page source and was able to remove it, but seems strange that it's in there to begin with, particularly for those of us who don't visit BBC UK or don't want to redirect anywhere.
