ndebord, I know what you say is true -- I learned that by watching (just don't assume that I haven't been around for almost as long)... Now don't anybody think about flaming me -- I won't respond -- for saying that I love K-Meleon but don't much care for a certain culture that surrounds it. @all: there's nothing to see here, please be on your way. Merry Chri

Another one bites the dust... Sad really, but something one has to grow habituated to if frequenting KM circles. One can only do like the monkeys -- "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," if you catch my drift. (9)

Erica possibly means that Google now has a better translation engine than the K-Meleon default one (babelfish.altavista.com). Which, BTW, I kinda agree to(o)...

Maybe someone knowledgeable with the macro language could modify the included macro, so the right click menu would show the name of the selected download manager instead of "Download link with Oget". Just an idea...

After strugling for years with the (lack of) integration of my favorite download manager into K-Meleon, I am happy to announce that I finally found an easy and straight forward way to achieve it -- my warmest thanks to Lexi who developed oGet and to the people from our sister site over at www.k-meleon.ru... Supported programs: - BitComet - Download Accelerator Plus - Download Master - Fl

After testing for a while -- with the supicious plugin culprits disabled (altough they never caused any problems with prior KM versions), the issue reported remains... From now on I'll be assuming that for whatever reason KM version 1.1+ leaks memory. Caveat emptor!

I totally ignored kko's tweak, so I posted it to: http:// kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/KMeleonPreferences http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/KMeleonPreferences Other tips like this should be treated likewise...

Only catch is there's no native K-Meleon for Linux... But if you can do, it would be another welcome contribution, methinks...

Yowha! Now you took me way out of my preferred depth -- but I will try to follow in the next few days. I just need to understand what you mean by extensions here, 'cause I had the idea that they where stuff that you put on after the install (which I didn't, BTW). Never mind my patience, thanks for all the fish...

That was from an (almost) fresh instal of K-Meleon 1.1.2, which was left unattended with only 4 layers open from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. Memory and Disk Cache are 5000 and 50000 KB -- the default values. No known extensions installed. Plugins installed: * Mozilla Default Plug-in (npnul32.dll) * Orbit Downloader (nporbit.dll) * Shockwave Flash 9.0 r28 (NPSWF32.dll) * MNG Plug

I know a bit about 'about:config' tweaking, and in the two running installs of K-Meleon on my computer, one had the 'config.trim_on_minimize' option that Terry mentions. I added the option to the other one, where just this morning I got the following memory status: I also think that values for explorer.exe are somewhat inflated, so I'm looking into this too... Bu

I am using K-Meleon 1.1.2 on a Pentium III 1 Ghz machine with 512 MB RAM and XP Pro; as the 'puter is always on I couldn't stop noticing that if KM is left in memory from one day to the other Private Memory usage (according to Sysinternals' Process Explorer) will go over 100 megs, some times even close to 200. As instructed by this and other threads, I have tried minimize and re

For the kml files, may I suggest that IniTranslator might be a convenient application to install? And it can be made portable, i.e., runable from removable drive, by simply copying its install folder. Please check: http://initranslator.sourceforge.net/ Download: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=78744

Gee, I thought that I had done a good job of reporting this issue... but missed the bugtrack site, which BTW I had never used before -- we noobs always miss something, unlike our savvy overlords. Would be a good subject for a sticky, describing howto, here at the forum. rmn, the first bullet doesn't really describe a bug, rather an initial state -- meaning that even if one chooses A4 size

A major gripe I have with KM from the start (v0.7) is the way 'Page Setup' misbehaves. Let me make this clear, after noting that I'm from (continental) Europe, where Inches & Foots don't make any sense, making it all the more infuriating that the damn dialog always reverts to god forsaken limb units: * This happens even if I choose A4 paper size (210x297 mm) instead of

Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but I think the question is important: Is Shortcutmenu still valid under KM version 1.1? What are the instructions changed? Thanks (especially to Alain).
