I use Klassic without background, I adapted the toolbar icons for Hao's ccfme. Basically I very much like the buttons but not the background.

thanks again Hao Maximise still buggy for me The status bar is hidden behind the windows task bar and upon first launch ccfme opens partially off the desktop ie it is not centred. Upon subsequent relaunches it does not remember last setting and does not reopen maximed it alternates between opening half the height of the desktop or almost fully open save for a thin strip of desktop showin

Thanks Hao, I still have window maximise bug on xp pro with sp2 I'm using your unedited silverbird skin. I have to click fit to width on view menu every time I run the browser to get it to maximise in order to hide the browser frame. Other foibles are that on first clicking maximise it obscures task bar plus it subsequently opens at 3/4 of screen height subsequent after having first

Now after trying different skins it has gone haywire again Despite deleting profile it constantly reopens with an inch of desktop showing top and bottom of the browser despite clicking on fit to width. Something must have been written to registry because I deleted entire ccfme folder extracted from 7z again and still does this. I'll probably have to reboot to see if that clears it

Thanks leveck clicking fit to width allows ccfme to reopen to fill the entire desktop but it still is not maximised. I have to click on maximise each fresh opening of the browser to remove the border around the browser. Is their a way to have it remember the maximised setting and open without the frame. @ Hao - When I mentioned ccfme opened as a small window in my post above - it opened on

Koolplaya - audio and video player - very quick to load and v light on resources, no install required. No bloat! http://www.koolplaya.de/index.php Koolplaya can now scroll through media files on the desktop or in a directory without needing to enter them into a playlist. Very useful for when actively downloading small clips and reviewing them as more download. The author Andy is extreme

My poor explanation There is a thin gap between ccfme status bar and the xp taskbar - the desktop colour shows through. (this makes it look like a partial coloured frame alonmg the bottom of the browser) I can't resize ccf me to fill gap after clicking maximise.

Donar MP3 Recorder http://www.softsea.com/review/Donar-MP3-Recorder.html Incredibly low cpu usage - ideal for extended internet radio streaming recording. It doesn't require "p2p energy torrent toolbar" option, I unchecked it when installing

QuoteHao Jiang QuoteArrow Very nice Hao, thankyou. But I really really really do not like a frame around the browser window, how can I remove this please? On Vista/Win 7? There is a way to remove it. But after that, you can't resize the window Try maximize the window when pressing '+' button on the top right corner of the skin. Will you see this frame also? I'm u

Thanks yes I have tried it and don't like it, not many features and in the real world of surfing nowhere near as quick on many web pages as it is cracked up to be. I don't kmow why so many people are falling for a comic book interface with big tabs stuck on the top of the screen.

QuoteTop 3 reasons why I left Firefox I didn't leave it, I've rarely used it beyond periodic research purposes to keep track of what it can do. I found the fan-boy syndrome and many forum attitudes so offputting that I also steered clear of it for that reason. they weren't environments I wanted to ask and learn in.

Recent K-M CCFME versions use the sqlite cookie format adopted by Seamonkey 2.0 and Firefox 3.0. Previous versions of CookieMonster supported sqlite only in it's Firefox profile. Alberto the author of CookieMonster has very kindly updated the CookieMonster profiles for "Mozilla/Netscape 7" and "Custom profiles for Gecko based browers (-Kmeleon....) to detect, save and dele

I'm using the Klassic k-m skin buttons that I adapted for ccfme I rearranged the buttons so that "notes" is next to "go" and replaced it's icon with the globe search icon, when i right click on it there is the list of the various search engines which change the search engine for selected text when dragged on web pages. If you look in toolbars.cfg Notes(24,2

Whilst I remember there's an outstanding issue/bug that I think definitely needs some attention, if it's possible to fix of course. It concerns javascript on web pages and browsing with links set to open in new tabs. When set to open links in new tab, Smilies on a whoe range of forums will not work when clicked on and with some vbulletin boards that have a quick reply option, the

Thanks; As I mentioned my problems were to do with my pc, but all o'k now. I picked up a newer, faster secondhand P4 3.2ghz with legitimate xp pro installed and more memory for a good price. Replacing the psu in the old P4 wasn't financially viable given it's age and lower spec. QuoteOn another tack, the independent search window takes away valuable space in an ME "minimal

No need to be disparaging, you asked about size and I replied, I'm not into this gecko / IE divide, that is your issue not mine, I've been using and adapting K-m for years in tandem with first Maxthon and subsequently TW browser with no security issues on either side. It's how you set things up that is important.

TheWorld Browser with default skin and no plugins is 1.28mb Now you might deride it because it is on the IE shell but it has a privacy setting that hides the gui of the restore menu, sidebar history, addressbar & auto-complete. Doesn't save browser history, typed urls or temporary internet files and the restore menu is clear when exiting this mode. This makes it an excellent por
