If I look into the macro search.kmm, the numbering is handled as usual, same way as useragents list etc: A while-loop that has no limit, it just stops at the first empty entry. Which also means, there must be no 'holes' in the numbering or it stops there ;-)

Oh my.... Don't know about the IP adresses, for me that would definitely be WAY too high. But just collecting a list of open URLs into the clipboard would be quite simple, if you like also with titles, and/or with a fix text before or after. And you could paste that into any editor then - except MS notepad, because that ancient thing still doesn't understand the linebreaks *grmpf* That

Great! And you're lucky if that was the first glitch, there's quite some stuff to finish yet ;-) (KM1.6 info page: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/KMeleon16)

Guess that feature is not yet updated for the new version, but if you still have your profile of the old version, you should be able to just copy over the settings. Look into your old profile folder and open "prefs.js" with a text editor. There's a block with your previous search engines, all with such prefs: kmeleon.plugins.macros.search.engine1.url kmeleon.plugins.macros.

Hi James, welcome, and I understand Ctrl+A should work in the URL bar too, guess that's already somewhere on the to-do/bugs list... But there are alternatives, so no prob If you don't want to do a quick click with the mouse in the URL bar to highlight the line, click here for a list of the current default commands and key shortcuts ('accelerators' in KM): http://two.xthos

I've tried that before, but somehow didn't get it working right :-( Also tried some other workarounds via js and such, but all only stop ALL actions, incl. the previous one that's not yet finished. Of course I know only macrolanguage and am otherwise tapping in the dark, just picking up examples from the web and such and experimenting wildly. At the moment I think the non-plus-ult

WHOA - just tried KM 17alpha1, and it's B-U-R-N-I-N-G my poor old lappy :O Even out of-the-box, portable, 1 empty tab or KM forum: CPU 99%, that thing starts glowing, fan kicking in quickly ... Well, that's win98se with 256RAM ;-) Now I also took a closer look with process explorer at KM154, 16a3, 16a4, and those are all only around some 5% CPU (1 tab with forum open) But who of

I'm not using it myself, but since it works for other people on other machines, it's probably not the macro itself, or it wouldn't work anywhere. And I just noticed completely shocked that KM16a4 produces some absolutely WEIRD error with a macro that works perfectly fine on KM154, both on my own machine!! Completely confused now too :-(

Charlie, didn't you recently have so much trouble after moving some macros from the program folder into profile folder and vice versa, because some were double afterwards? And guess the Policies Manager belongs to the more complex macros, perhaps there's just something double or such again, but no idea ;-)

There are some defined in macros. I suppose for your purpose you don't want any macros/add-ons anyway? Then simply disable them all, perhaps just rename or delete the macros.dll in folder kplugins, and try if the stuff still works that you need. PS: I've seen a rather olde thread around here recently from kko or dorian, who explained what else can be deleted etc. to make kiosk-mode use

In all 'my' other forums trollish posts get deleted instantly, and if the poster does it a second time, he's banned for good. There it's a much nicer and safer atmosphere, and I always regret that here everyone is instead allowed to play Rambo, run amok and (virtually) shoot over and knock down and kick and jump upon other completely nice and helpful members. Who extremely agg

WHOAH... After thousand hours of struggling (at least it felt that much ), now finally the breakthrough!! *happydance* At last found half a line of javascript that can simply store the original title inside the page itself, and so restore it later in a blink without any reloading or hundred lines of buggy workarounds - uff, at last out of that endless jungle where I didn't see the forest any

Disrupted realized the key I think: almost surely blue font on blue background!! Just who or how forces a blue background on your links??? Do you have some global adblocker installed or such? Am no specialist for such stuff either. And Soeren is right too, as long as you don't find what was changed in your system or messed in your profile you will have problems, but for now here's

Ah, actually a second user willing to try and the new version still isn't finished, argh...! It's a bit embarassing because that 'old' version above still has a rather complicated configuration, the next one (in the works) is partly much easier and more flexible. Finally want to get that thing finished, grmpf. Anyway, since you have the old one already downloaded, click Too

Hmmm, complicated.... since I have no clue of Linux (and don't want to dig deeper right now :cool, but could that mean that only macros with exec-lines may have probs, and all others work...? Would promptforfolder or ...file stuff work like in windows, opening files and links?

Just for curiosity, do macros work in Linux? Or are there commands that don't, seeing that the whole browser has a few probs there?

For my ancient win98 machine it extends the time between system restarts about 10x :-) And whenever something slows down and hardly moves on anymore, I click the RAM button, it cleans a few seconds, and then everything runs as fast as before again :-)) Just that the span until the next time gets shorter each time.

Yes exactly, and I don't have that plugin in components, because I didn't install ABPlus. By default KM has only the adblock.css, but that can be easily disabled with it's own Privacy macro, no prob at all ;-) And of course it never asked me for updates and such either. It's only extensions that install additional files like that one, that may keep working in the background e

Just noticed a little issue with Win98: I'm used to just download zips, uninstall and run them portable, if any possible. Now when unzipping K-Meleon.7z, it contains a "K-Meleon.exe" and a "K-MeleonW9x.exe". I dimly remember that one of those got deleted when installing per "setup" once, and the W9x version got renamed to "K-Meleon.exe" instead. Thi

Good idea - and especially along with the volunteer already Just a little note, guess AdBlock "plus" is not included anyway in a default KM download, only an old and simple version, consisting of the adblock.css and nothing more. Can't remember having read in this forum that this one ever gave a problem, as long as it was switched off in the Privacy menu. Switched Off CSS does
