the mouse leaps frequently (hupst, in deutsch).
i use an old version of kmeleon, i expect this is not the cause.
the java is not the newest, i don't know if this can be the cause.

i accept and don't accept java scripts frequently, i think it should be more simply.

can i do something to prevent that the mouse leaps?

Perhaps try with an spare mouse. Mice wear out. Even new opticial ones do.

The most recent mouse problems were from broken mice or site specific.

today the mouse doesn't leap so much. In reality, it's not a mouse, i use a notebook, the "mouse" is near the keyboard.
By trying to correct the problem, i get other problem. I "travel" in the settings of kmeleon, there was a page that enable various things, i dis-enable all. Now i cannot block the java script. The settings are now different, when i clik in privacy, there are only 3 alternatives, no more a dozen of alternatives.

For some sites, i was used to block java script. Is there other solution than delet kmeleon and download it again?

thanks for all your answers.

Perhaps you just blocked the Privacy and/or Macro Plugin?
F2 > Plugins > ...

(PS: if german is easier for you you could use it too here, or both de+en)

1st thing to check is Tools >Error console, and switch on KMM-errors too
If doesn't help, I'd try if a new profile helps (F2>Manage Profiles: "Ask at startup" / restart / click NEW profile)

But your menu prob sure is easier, just check the plugin settings...

I guess you're using a touchpad. I have the same problem on my notebook, especially if the palm of my hand touches the edge of the keyboard while I'm using the touchpad. Some touchpad software has a so-called "palm check" feature to cure this. You might want to look for that in the mouse settings on your machine.

I had to start using a wireless external keyboard with its own touchpad when my notebook's built-in keyboard stopped working properly. Unfortunately, the touchpad on the wireless keyboard doesn't have software with a palm check feature.
