Hi,
I'm using 75.1 on Win10.
In trying to customize it my way, I managed to delete or at least unshow settings, and I don't know how to get it back. I uninstalled the reinstalled, but it came up the same way as before.
Please help.
Thank you.
Larry

Let's see... If you reinstalled, my guess is any stored settings are still in the profile folder, which wasn't deleted and gets reused.
Click Edit > Manage Profiles > NEW
and restart.

You can also open the folder:
Edit > Configuration > Profile Directory
Or on page "about:support" there should be a linked button to open it.

If you prefer to have portable profiles, inside the KM program folder, create an empty file "profile.ini" in its root folder and restart.

But KM75.1 is very old. The recommended version is now (unofficial) KM-Goanna 76.2:

(sig) New unofficial K-Meleon 76.4 (KMG76.4) available, in own subforum.
Based on Goanna engine, called 'test' builds forever but more stable as 75.1 acc. forum members. It's 1-2 generations ahead of predecessor KM76RC-2016

EDIT - siria snuck in ahead of me.

Do you mean Preferences?
F2 opens them

or if you mean prefs.js it is located in profiles folder -
good idea to make a copy regularly.

Beyond the tips, could help a lot to explain what does that mean first and what was screwed. We can't read the minds, yet winking smiley

Thank you guys for your help.
I wanted to add a screenshot, but didn't see how to attach it.
What I lost was the way to view toolbars and select other settings...preferences doesn't do it.

May not being known (and K-meleon hiding it doesn't help) but, as every other program, menus can be accessed through ALT+ keys combinations. In this case ALT+V (V = View menu) and there you have.

In the other hand, a more advanced way would be to edit prefs.js file from your profile folder and change the desired toolbar preference (example: "kmeleon.toolband.Menu.visibility", true to false) and restart K-meleon.

This is just told as another option. But not for everyone.

Just to add after ALT+v select toolbars and then ensure then "menu" is checked.
If ALt+v doesn't work left click on k-m to focus it first.

Like with early IE versions the menu toolbar can be collapsed to only show >> if you want to retain space.

Or right-click on an empty space in toolbars area, to toggle toolbars?
Needs a younger KM-version as my old one, but as far as I know should work.
