*lightbulb!* Wait a second... Could it be that you want to open also plain simple links, which don't have a target, also in a new tab by LEFT-click??? If that's it, the usual way for most people would be to use a middle-click or Shift+LeftClick or Ctrl+LeftClick, or one of the other variations described here: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/FAQ#mouseaccels But may be that on

Well, if it were such a general bug as you keep insisting, then how do you explain that it works fine for everyone else?? How could that work for others, if it simply doesn't work in general, as you insist? A miracle?? The problem obviously only happens on a single computer, not others, so it may a be bug on asian machines only, but if you say you don't believe that... Have

Sorry but I can't confirm that at all. If my prefs are set to open stuff in a new tab, the do open new tabs. In old and new KM versions. If it doesn't for you, it must be something you changed yourself, perhaps installed a macro with such a side-effect or something. Aside from the stuff that can be set in prefs, and which is usually enough for most users, there are some additional t

The alert-function of the forum has a bug, it claims it would send emails when there are new postings, but doesn't ;-)

Hi LL, not quite sure what you mean exactly, but there's a long list of default commands that can all be used: http://two.xthost.info/kmeleon/lizard/commands.html In case you just want quicker access to Tools > Privacy > View Data > View Cache ? that command seems to be it: macros(moz_AboutCache) Same effect if you go to "about:cache" You can put that on a too

I think too that could be useful, but depends on how much personal stuff one wants to reset, there are various ways... E.g. you can have multiple profiles in KM, so the usual recommended way would be to create a new profile: Edit > Manage Profiles Check "Ask at startup" and when restarting, click "NEW" profile. (If you first click NEW and forget that "Ask" b

Never much thought about it (being on win9x), but he's right: While the profiles can be placed in the user account with default writing rights, the skins are always in the program folder. Usually without rights, unless given manually, but if someone doesn't know how... At any rate right-click on the skins folder and look for something like "security" settings, to allow your

QuotendebordMust be a w98se flash version kind of thing. I don't see that behavior at all in XP PRO SP3.. just the dll in plugins, no flash in c:\ windows\ macromedia\ flash at all and nothing written there of any kind. Hmm, is that really the %appdata% folder...?

Am learning, but slowly... Have now known for weeks that exchanging kplugins can 'fix' new bugs, like bookmarks.dll, and only today it dawned on me that my constantly lost hotlist-nicknames on win9x might just as well be fixed by simply exchanging hotlist.dll from KM154!! Knowing full well that the hotlist.dll is about at the very bottom of the priority list, so probably not containing

Yep, in the "Privacy" section ;-) Personally I have disabled the password manager completely, never needed it since I'm handling my forum accounts with cookie permissions.

Yep. Long since included. And while you're at it, also try right-clicking some other toolbar buttons Many have some options there, as announced in the "tooltips", the little descriptions that pop up when hovering the mouse over a button. By the way, if you'd like to switch the zoom direction for the mousewheel, there's a hidden switch in the gecko engine, read here: ht

No idea, just a few "usual suspects" for testing: Clear cache, clear cookies OOpen Tools > Privacy Make sure that javascript, cookies, referer are allowed. Tools > User Agent > Firefox It's well possible that your bank changed their software, but perhaps more likely that you just accidentally hit F7 for blocking javascript or such...

Well, everyone will have his own prefered way. The easiest would be to just "overwrite everything", but frankly I'd rather leave the old version as it is (never change a running system!) and instead produce an independant new version. It's a bit more complicated if you don't really know what you're doing, but anyway, that would be my personnally prefered way: C

Okay, let me give it a try too See explanations in screenshot. You can choose yourself which buttons you want to see in the privacy toolbar, and hide those you hardly ever need: In my case I never unblock "Flashblock", so have it hidden in the toolbar. There's just no need to ever unblock it, since it replaces flash objects with a little placeholder, which allows you to

Oh, I'm not alone anymore, LOL! Well, for formatting forum posts there's a macro that I use all the time. Guess it's in the macro library in the wiki, but also on kmext.sf.net Name is something with kmbbcode or similar. Just tested an embedded youtube vid in a forum post, it runs without js. For opening links to youtube, there's a macro called... guess OpenOnlyVideo or

Have you already tried exchanging the kplugins with those from cp4? The bookmarks.dll is confirmed to cause problems with titles, and am not sure anymore, but guess someone said exchanging it also fixed other bugs for him...

Oops... That was a little misunderstanding, way too complicated, and am not very sure if this works always very well... The mistake was that you didn't start the new browser at least once after unzipping it! When it's first started, it automatically creates the new profile parent folder, and inside it the individual profile folder with a random new name. Just as in guenters screensho

Hmm, diese "Überschrift" fände ich weniger irreführend: "Some Tools for System Backup in Win9x".

Have you already exchanged the bookmarks.dll? Or you can also simply disable bookmarks, if you don't use them. The "beta" version is buggy, the "preBeta" version is fine. Which is crazy, since that really has nothing at all to do with bookmarks! By the way, someone else on a newer system also had some trouble with titles, IIRC the original titles were fine, but he couldn&

Dann geb ich auch noch meinen Senf dazu  K-Meleon 1.6 beta DOES run under (my updated) win98se! Despite it being based on the gecko engine 1.9.x, which Mozilla develops only for modern machines now. But just like FF3 it can be made to work with KM1.6, though not completely perfect ;-) Occasional crashes and here and there a minor bug in beta version... The catch is, it doesn't

Little misunderstanding, it's clear the bottom is "fix", I just meant to "switch" the positions of Apply/Save and Add-Remove buttons ;-) Uhm, what's again the difference between "Save" in other tools and "Apply" here...?

Never mind, can live with it Once more it keeps amazing me how we sometimes forget the easiest things, like using the right URL! Had it happened to myself, then checking the entry URL would have been one of the first things that would come to mind. But if it's someone else's problem, we tend to assume that such basics go without saying and often simply forget such possible reasons!
