Quotejk-- 1.8.2.1 was the last version that worked without any code modification. I believe I tested this on 1.6b1. It also woks with KM 1.16. ok. though now I'm no longer using Noscript 1.8.2.1 under KM 1.6b2. I've tested other versions of noscript here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/versions/?page=5 v1.9.2 is the last one with a functioning OK b

Quotejk-- 1.8.2.1 is the last version of NoScript that works. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LLVZWVGY are you absolutely sure on that one? what about 1.8.2.2 and higher (up to version 1.10.0)? v1.8.2.2 seems to also work with KM 1.6 beta 2.

Quotejk-- The OK button in mine does work, tested in 1.16, 1.5x, 1.6b1 & b2 under what operating system, jk? UPDATE: redownloaded your modified noscript 1.8.2.1 for KM and installed it under KM 1.6b2 and the OK button DID work. However, the OK button does NOT work under KM 1.7a1 & 1.7a2 as I've just confirmed it. K-meleon versions I've used are under WinXP SP3. Recap:

Toolbar/Statusbar Icon well jk, if you download the latest ABP for K-meleon dev build here: https://adblockplus.org/devbuilds/adblockpluskmeleon/ the toolbar & status bar icons of ABP seem to work; just right-click on the ABP icon in KM and a context menu appears. wonderful! once the new ABP code is released, I will test it in both K-meleon 1.6 beta 2 AND K-meleon 1.7 alpha 2 (yes, folks there is a KM 1.7 out there)

Quotequoted Last time Wladimir Palant mentioned K-Meleon in ABP changelog on 30th November. but his progress on the new ABP for KM is currently running at a snail's pace. I wouldn't be surprised if I see few or no more KM updates in future changelogs for the dev builds of ABP.

@Gordon: although I have msvcp71.dll version 7.10.6052.0 AND msvcr71.dll version 7.10.7031.4 both dated February 1, 2007 from MS KB article 932298. These versions include the daylight saving time 2007 fixes for those DLL files. so the ones that I have are newer than yours. heehee!

Quoteguenter p.s. The "ok" button. Look into error console - what it says. still have the same "ok" button problem. clicking the OK button doesn't work, even with jk's modified Noscript 1.8.2.1 KM addon. tried it with K-meleon version 1.7 alpha 2. OK button in Noscript 1.8.2.1 does not close the Noscript dialog box and save changes. QuoteWin98_PC jk--, do

Quoteguenter ME starts fast and is lite compared with XP. IF You buy XP anyway - maybe set up a dual boot system. Double boot facilitates system backup. Which is IMHO needed before You use KernelX. XP setup can be easily customized with "nlite". which is what I was using, guenter. WinXP SP3 on the primary hard drive on the HP Pavilion computer and WinME on the secondary hard dr

Quotendebord 4td8s, Thanks for the update... didn't know Mozilla wasn't keeping up with posting on releases. If chrome from KM 1.6 works with KM 1.7, then perhaps that is the direction to go. Wladimir has given the hint that IF KM goes to 1.7 and Gecko 1.9.2, that he would be more willing to port a version of Adblock 1.3 for that version. ndebord, if you check the MozillaWiki Relea

Quotesiria The catch is, it doesn't run on the pure original version of win98, you first need to add certain unofficial system updates (KernelEx, 200k, which should be done with caution, and not from bloody beginners (but frankly, which win98 user today doesn't use that system for years meanwhile?? ) And a few people say it messed their system (with an earlier KernelEx-version), the

Fred, Seamonkey 2.0.11 was released a few days ago. can you prepare a KM-17a-S2011 release? also, be sure to update/modify the I10n.js file to have the Firefox 3.5/Seamonkey 2.0 user agent strings and not the Firefox 2.0/Seamonkey 1.1 UA strings before releasing it.

Quoteguenter AFAIK Windows 2000 was the last version where You could completely un-install IE without loosing some Windows core functions. oooh, i don't know about that one. you could try this neat utility for removing IE on both Win2000 & WinXP (safely): http://www.litepc.com/xplite/ie.htm

Quotesiria and USB is only 1.1 and slower than a snail, and... and... though this is off topic, you could purchase a PCI expansion card that adds USB 2.0 chipsets/sockets/ports to your win98se computer. I bought a Vantec USB 2.0 PCI card a few years ago that uses NEC-based USB 2.0 chipsets and drivers. if you can't install it yourself, ask a computer technician to install it for you.

now we just need an official K-meleon 1.6 beta 1 to be produced and tested. no more future pre-betas! the creators of KM 1.6 should kick it to the next gear and get the first beta out soon. almost 6 months now since KM 1.6 alpha 4 was released. as of this early November 2010, Seamonkey 2.1 is at beta 1 status and beta 7 of Firefox 4.0 will be released early next week. clock is ticking.

oh siria! I got latest K-meleon 1.6 pre-beta to work properly under Win98/ME w/ latest KernelEx installed. After I installed recent Kernelex 4.5 RC, reboot and then set K-MELEON.EXE to run in either "Win2000" or "XP SP2" compatibility mode from the EXE's Compatibility tab on the Properties dialog box, KM 1.6 now works as if it was running under either Win2000 or WinXP
