Just a blind guess, having no macro at hand: do you still use the "open" workaround? Because I remember that new geckos don't allow anymore to open URLs starting with "javascript:xxx". Luckily that workaround isn't needed anymore in KM74/75, because injectJS("xxx") was fixed.

Hehe, just checked - that is *exactly* how it still looks in gecko31 / KM75!! Can't believe it... And the best: it's fully translated yet!! where to find: about: preferences / content / fonts&colors / colors Frankly I don't care if that works by css or whatever way, as long as it works exactly the same as css. So, the interface is there (although hidden quite deep a

Okay, so things are clear now: - the native prefs do inject the color, but whithout the "important" rule - that means it only works on websites where the author has NOT defined that color Yes, unfortunately that's pretty much useless, especially on websites like this forum where visited links are fix defined with the same color as unvisited. PS: the native prefs also don

Quoterodocop Quotesiria browser.visited_color (String) #551A8B layout.css.visited_links_enabled (bool) true this is present in all modern KM builds but doesn't work... Of course - now that you say it... At least in my KM1.6 it obviously doesn't work, or I wouldn't need my button! But pity if it doesn't work in newer versions either, sure had hoped so. I thought

The browser is restared? Check if history is enabled? In my old macro I found a second addition, not sure if that helps: a:visited , a:visited * {color: purple !important;} Ah yes, and just a few days ago noticed that word-colors must be typed all lower case! (in KM1.6 and win98 at least, may be different on James modern machine and browser) And another "Ah" (argh my swiss-ch

You may well be right with Orbit, but Fred only meant to use the kmm-file as syntax template for starting another app with it. Did a quick search for that macro, but there seem to exist several variations, so better wait for Fred. The easiest variation just calls an exe file with a command line that contains also the link url. Do you have a (harmless) example page? Because it seems my KM1.6 do

Well if no one has an answer to your question, what shall we reply? So everyone (the few that are here) hopes that someone else may know more and forgets about it again, looking out for posts marked as "new". In such cases ask again after awhile, that heightens chances for a reply, but am afraid it'll still be "no idea". Actually I did try a bit to find a way with editin

Another huge step forward for KM, great! Couldn't test yet (others can do that much better anyway) but updated the language versions of the Home/News page. The Release Notes and changelog are interesting, just wondering if perhaps the easier adaption of addons might be worth mentioning too, just a thought. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes75 http://kmeleon.sourceforge.ne

Hmm... must admit haven't downloaded the new KM version yet, was distracted with the sourceforge system, being extremely *distrustful* after all their actions lately. Now the download popup said KM comes from cznic.dl.sourceforge.net Hmm, cznic, not KM? May not mean anything... the statusline says it's just a mirror, oh... And other mirrors are available too, for over a dozend

Whoa - 70 smileys!! And some very nices ones, many look familiar from other forums, although a few others I'd probably never use here... Must admit, as much as I love smileys, usually am too lazy to switch on JS and reload again for the rare use. But who knows, perhaps will now do it more often in the future when needing a special one PS: there's no working URL-check in it C

Just assuming, the wiki page is much the same as localdocs? Because I'm afraid if they are drifting apart it could get rather confusing to keep both up-to-date, therefore posted it first here, not directly edited myself ;-) Would like to edit but am too short on time currently, should do 100 other things first, so can only do a bit here and there, sigh...

That's the point. No pressure, just add the few new words in english for now if missing yet, and translators can update it whenever they get around. Otherwise desgas addition will be lost and forgotten again. While NOW it would be easy with both of you being around currently and having things fresh in memory ;-) Translators are much easier to find as devs, especially devs with access

Love handy localdocs macro, use it for looking syntax up all the time But the description of some macro commands is so techy that it's difficult to understand without practical examples, at least for us non-dev users ;-) Let's add perhaps something like that or similar? $SUB = substr( s, i [, n] ); Returns the at most n-character substring of s starting at i. If n is omitte

QuoteDorian @desga2: I can't add change requiring locale update. If you can't, then let desga do it QuoterodocopEnglish, spanish and russian locales are also updated with new strings. You can add French. And we can ask guenter and Chanson Yu for German and Chinese. Yep. And frankly, when I need an important function, I'd much rather have it in plain english than not at all

Yeah and the earth is a flat disk  No seriously, it's terrifying, just one more powerful company gone corrupted and evil. After being bought by a hedge fond or whatever that was. The various articles posted above make it very clear that SF only makes those "claims" but are in no way thruthful anymore. To hijack other programs and even block out the original developers, and

Nice list, thanks But such complicated investigations really shouldn't be needed, a program version should be clear from inside itself. Still think the default window title would be a good and extremely easy place: In KM...../browser/defaults/preferences/kmeleon.js pref("kmeleon.display.title", "K-Meleon 75RC5"); In case of development versions perhaps even with the

The numbering is completely unclear now, since Dorian posted the recent 2 full versions both called "75", and both still in the RC3 thread. But following the previous system "full" versions had gotten the next number, so this brandnew one is in theory 75RC5  Perhaps it'll become the final version too. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?8,133509,134024#msg-1

Just had a prob with youtube too, wanted to play a video and - nothing. Just a black box. Looks like youtube sends no flash anymore to KM1.6, only html5 videos. Which don't play either, no idea if due to KM1.6 or just my profile. Obviously the almighty google/youtube boss decided I shouldn't be allowed to view videos anymore Finally figured out that IE7 user agent helped, and FF2.1

At the moment still depends on the chosen skin, and its skin system - old or new. New system: Am afraid only Dorian can tell exactly about the new "Default" skin in KM75. If I remember correctly (??) he mentioned it has auto-sizing for icon size, but the menu icons aren't independend anymore (yet)? Old system: When using an older skin (like AuraAlpha from previous KM versions

Tried it on 1.6: same as you say. Then tried it on 75RC4 on vista, but it seems already fixed there?

Well yes, will have to do that too when some day using KM7x as online browser. It just shouldn't be necessary, considering it had already worked better before - as they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it ;-) A trick for the smileys: There is a checkbox to disable them, below the subject line! #open("resource://".($__l=="en-US" ? Great desga! Am just not sure if it's that simple, since those clear-commands are all plugin-commands, and clearform isn't listed for it yet. And meanwhile also noticed, slightly shocked: There are absolutely NO options anymore how much history to store? Only keep ALL forever or clear ALL now? :O That's a major bummer, no way...

Just for fun, perhaps a few syntax basics, for everyone interested, now or in future stumbling across here  x==y?a:b means: "If x=y then do a else do b" (and 0 means: do nothing). z= x==y?a:b means: "If x=y then z=a else z=b" If a number-pref doesn't exist at all, getpref returns "0". Real examples: $_old=="0" ? setpref(INT,"kmeleo

Ah yes, sigh... that also reminds me that all Help-menu links force-open in current tab again, without choice anymore, the handy KM1.6 helpmenu pref vanished... Bugs me every time first having to click on "new empty tab" and only afterwards clicking the Help Links ;P

Cool - have fun Found an INT-example in one of my never-finished macros, may look more complicated than necessary but contains some optional proof-checks. Of course, any input only makes sense if the user shall choose the max-days-limit with it (=Delete all entries older than x days) MenP_TabsMultiLine{ macroinfo="If too many tabs, show more rows. Guess Dorians job ;-) For curiosity researched a bit too, but only got as far as this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Deleting_autocomplete_entries At least single entries can be deleted most easily via "Del" key! And there's a very sophisticated FF-addon with tons of options: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/form-history-control Looks like by a basic KM macro c

Just remembered two forgotten bugs in the compact menu: "File Open" and "Work Offline" are still missing completely when the menu bar is hidden. About all other commands are copied to the compact menu or available in other ways.
