All works (mostly) since some time. The only problem is that You must find the menu item I observed occasional, non reproducable shortcomings with sessions that include Tabs & Windows if XUL items (which are applications - e.g. Firefox extensions ) are in use.

The site icons in bookmarks are AFAIK realized by Gecko code - I do not know whether Favorites or Hotlist can have favicons with this code. K-Meleon is partly based on MFC (Micosoft Foundation Class) & ATL Libaries. They only exist for Windows. AFAIK current K-Meleon's ancestor mfcembed.exe (a Gecko based little browser example) derived from an example Code called MFCIE that ASFAIRemember shipped with Visual C+ 6.

K-Meleon is so much older than Phoenix. I wonder why You have never used it :O The native widget versions of Gecko browser: Galeon, Kazehakase, Epiphany, Camino & K-Meleon are well integrated into their respective OS. That makes them resource efficient and fast (e.g. at startup) compared to the Geckos the rely much on XUL.
