AFAIK You can not have Profile directory in K-Meleon's install directory with all NT based systems such as XP, Win2000... (while You do not have the rights to the k-meleon directory - which You do not have by default, it must be given to You by the admin. Or You must be admin while using that.). Yes: possible. The files are inside archives inside K-Meleon chrome folder. Many K-Meleon/Chrome files are AFAIK utf8! A good program editor shows You which encoding is used (all good editors do). User Agents can be set/changed at Preferences Privacy and after activating the Privacy Bar (via View > Toolbars) on the right hand side of that bar. You right click there for more options then point to chose at the new one with the mouse. Forum Search or Google(try to direct it to search our Forum) will give You almost any info on K-Meleon. Der K-Meleon Uninstaller "deinstaliert" alle Dateinen in seinem eigenen Verzeichnis ( wie auch viele andere Deinstallationsprogramme !), du hast K-Meleon in einem Wurzelverzeichnis instaliert, wenn es davon kommt. Firefox has icon feature - bookmarks.html is a html file with a definition list. K-Meleon will treat all such files with the proper name, place and list as HIS bookmarks. p.s. So do all SeaMonkey, old Netscapes, Mozillas and older Firefoxes.

AFAIK it causes less "fragmentation" to have OS, programs and data on different partitions - You have defragment less often and it gives You a slight advantage since programs and OS are reading "ordered = less fragmented" files. That causes less activity on HDD. p.s. & it causes less work during "repairs". For the rest I am with JohnHell's assessment.
