shakushinnen, Give me a mailto link that does NOT work with Foxmail. I am also using W98se and I am using Foxmail 3.11: C:\foxmail\foxmail.exe Above is also what I use in KM 1.0.2's Mail settings. I have not experienced any problems and I did not add %1 to the Internet Control Panel settings under Programs where Foxmail is listed as my default email client.

Guenter, Yes. Limited space is the key here. I mentioned it since I was the one who suggested the topic, I thought perhaps that there were other topics of equal importance that should be discussed. Meanwhile, very nice job with the new sticky! Congrats!

Everyone, While we're talking about sticky posts. Are there any other stickies that we should think of making permanent, in addition to the ones we've already discussed? Tks,

Fred, A question for you. Is there a way to have a toggle for NoScript and AdBlock in the Privacy Bar. So you could either use it with whatever settings you've "trained" the browser for on individual sites or toggle it off and go back to a default usage? Tks,

Seraphim, Are you saying that what I posted here worked for you? (I'll double check my settings to see if there is a bracket missing now.)

Seraphim, Just had the same thought. Had to find a new location for it, as the old no longer exists. I'm trying the following, but not sure if it is working or not. ============================================================ MENUS # ----- Layers %ifplugin layers CloseLayer{ layers(Close,Close Laye&r\tCtrl+F4) layers(CloseAll,Close All La&yers\tCtrl+Shift+F4)

enaitz, Ah, got you. Sure, 3 links, official, beta and unofficial works for me. Anybody got ideas on this?

Enaitz, <<What about a "Current K-Meleon builds" sticky, and then there at the top the latest official and the latest beta. Then just a bit below it, a link to the unnoficials, containing a brief explanatiuon about what could we expect about unnoficials (I mean localized versions, Linux versions, etc).>> That could work, so long as people don't get confused abou

enaitz, The problem with the link at kmeleon sourceforge is that this forum is the central meeting point for K-Meleon and most visitors look here for information about the browser, not elsewhere. Perhaps do both the link and the sticky??? (And make sure the word unofficial or variation is prominently a part of the sticky.)

Guenter, Enaitz, If it is too much trouble to resurrect Carson's thread, we could start a new one and port over whatever is still relevant from his older thread. You can name it anything you think is appropriate: Unofficial K-Meleon builds ain't half bad! Or perhaps K-meleon Variations (VBG). <<The other thing both threads should be retained visible and that would consume m

How's about we have a sticky post here for Carson's versions thread and ask all the various people out there developing variation on KM 1.0.2 to post download and release info in that thread? What do you'all think? Tks,

tisungho, What OS are you running with KM 1.02 and Aggreg8? I'm running W98se and don't see that issue. I run with layers, not windows though.

Guenter, Adblock in 0.9.13.xxx is unchecked now. I originally used it, but didn't really get how to use it properly so set it aside for now. Don't know that I want to try a proxy filter either. I'll have to play around with this a bit.

Fred, That did it! The only change I made was to use Eyes-Only (if memory serves) location for extra files which was: Tools Wackget{ menu = "Download by wackget"; exec("tools\\Wackget.exe " . $LinkURL); } Much thanks!

Fred, I seem to have two sets of instructions about how to load Wackget into KM. Do you have a working set of wackget config snippets to work with your version? Tks much,

Fred, Don't stop. Variations are the stuff of dreams and K-Meleon. One of the reasons why it is my favorite browser.

skyline510, What kind of error message are you getting with gmail and which K-Meleon are you using? I've been using gmail for some time now with no problems with various versions of K-Meleon.

Fred, <<The NoScript extension too is only in KM 0.9.13-ud3, but not in the version KM 1.8.1-Linux-usable-v2 . >> Which is why I use K-Meleon0.9.13-ud3-1.8.0.7 instead! Much thanks for all the various variations.

Shakushinnen, Search using the keyword of disk cache or memory and you should come up with several posts and different ideas about what is optimum for this browser. It really comes down to experimentation on your hardware to see what works best for you.

Fred, I am looking forward to v4 of this release. At this point, I use yours and the alpha and Adblock and NoScript are definite pluses to my mind. It is good to know that the 0.9 line can be extended to current, more secure versions of Gecko and 1.8.0xxx has proven to be a good one. Anyhow, much thanks,

Fred, I've revisited this upgraded version of 0.9 and wonder if you have any plans of upgrading it yet again to the latest gecko? Or if not, instructions on how I could homebrew it myself using either FF or SM? Tks much,

kko, I'd like nothing more than to help you with a faq. In all my time with KM, at this moment I have the least free time to do anything except work. If I understood KM 1.1 better, I'd be in a better position to try and edit proposed text or write general language sections, but I don't know it yet nor have the free time to devote to the learning curve right now. As for the bu

kko, One thing. Your faq is very "techie." Nicely written, but not oriented to the end user. I've been reading it and struggling. Haven't had much, if any free time to do things, as life has sped up a lot here recently, but still...

O.K., I've loaded up Km 1.1alpha. The first thing I see is the K-Meleons Forum Search in the Help Menu seems to be written for the old forum software, not the new. Search does not work.

enaitz, O.K. Have read it. Don't get it yet, but will get back to it when I can. Meanwhile, we do need a bug fix on KM 1.0.2 that is "easy" to load up, similar to what Brian did for KM 0.9. I do not want to dig through folders and sub-folders to grab the right files from SeaMonkey to do this. <weak grin>
