i seriously don't see the problem.. the only thing i can concur with that 1.5.x does consume a little bit more memory than 1.1.x. i don't have any memory managers or anything handling kmeleon's memory.. we all know windows os is not the best handler of memory but it's not that terrible, it could all be to how you let windows handle memory and how is your swap file configur

this sound is from windows, so you can't disable it from k-meleon. you got 2 ways to remove that sound: 1- open windows control panel>sounds audio devices>sounds tab> remove wave sound associated with asterisk 2- in the find tab in k-meleon> click on the 'wrap around button'=no more sound edit: sorry, number 2 only works when the keyword already exists on th

does this happen with all kind of files or with certain extensions only? also if you're using windows vista.. it could be due to folder permissions/zones.. and maybe because the cache folder is in a high(locked) zone, kmeleon cannot execute the file directly from there. you'll need to be an administrator on that machine, and change 'elevation' for that folder. unders

Quotedesga2 I like say that first you must download Orbit Downloader and install it and before you can download and install K-Meleon Extension to integrate it with the browser. will it query orbit's installation path in the registry or ask the user to input path? the reason i ask is.. well, orbit is not installed on my computer.. i do have it but it's not installed.. i rare

er.. i don't know this bugfix, i use bigfix(the one at tucows).. it's not a service or anything like that.. you run it manually like any application and it just compares the installed patches on your machine to the ones released on microsoft for your specific os and then displays a list of the uninstalled patches in an html format, downloading/installing them is completely up to you and

there might be a problem/conflict with that plugin with 1.5.1 but it doesn't sound like a bug with 1.5.1., more like an issue with the adobe plugin which was never perfect. when i tested the adobe acrobat plugin with 1.5.1, there was a slight freeze-up compared to 1.5.0 which handled better.. but it didn't cause problems with links etc. i don't know if your viewer application xchan

i kinda understood your problem.. but i'm not very sure 1. you want all tabs (tabbar) to be at the top? open preferences(press F2), go to gui appearance> select toolbars and in toolbars select tabbar.. uncheck display tabs at the bottom. 2. you want the tab buttons(new tab button-close button) to be on each tab like opera? you cannot do that in kmeleon but you can attach the tabs b

that problem lies with the authors of those programs and extensions who do not write with kmeleon support in mind.. they write for ie and firefox and other browsers, then we try to do our best to integrate their stuff with kmeleon. integrating orbit is fairly easy compared to others, after you download the orbit downloader, install it in its default path: make sure it installs to this path: c

yeah, i heard sp3 is a nightmare that's why i'm staying clear from it, actually the important security updates can all be downloaded separately without sp3. it's not a good package, it cripples zonealarm, some hp peripherals' drivers and ati's catalyst.. the driver would still work but you'd no longer have control over your graphics card; i even read somewhere that

mark, go to this link: http://www.orbitdownloader.com/download.htm and download orbit downloader. after you download and install it, go to this thread: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,81845,81994#msg-81994 download the macro "orbit monitor" and save it to kmeleon's macros folder follow the instructions to integrate grab.exe with kmeleon

i don't know.. that didn't work out, i added a script in the user stylesheet to resize windows to a specific width/height but instead, it threw the page design a little off centre and didn't change the window size.. like it affected the content and not the actual window.. for example in google's page, the search buffer and buttons all got shifted towards the left, it was an in

is it possible through the userstyle sheet or any other method to: when selecting open in new window whilst browsing from a maximised window; to open that new window in a predefined size(width/height) so it doesn't open maximised like the main window(similar to old kmeleon 0.2).. but at the same time.. i don't want that defined size to affect tabbed browsing.. meaning when i select to

hi charlie, i've tested this and it didn't have any problems opening in new window from favourites.. check to see if you might be using an older 1.5.0 favourites plugin instead of the one that ships with 1.5.1.. also look into the profile folder and see if prefs.js attributes are set to read only in the property sheet.

yes semental, that's a problem i knowledge in the script is it can't specify a path for kmeleon but automatically uses the folder in which kmeleon normally uses to save files.. what you need to do is this: right click on any picture on a page and select save image as.. when save image comes up, browse to this folder: c:\archiv~1\internet\orbitd~1\ it's the folder you will us

never mind.. i found the command to call that listing dialog by integrating in firefox 1.5(i didn't have it integrated with ff so i never saw the command) it's: /U for example: I:\applications\applications-x\orbitdm\orbitdm.exe /U"httttp://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/" but unfortunately it isn't that easy, as orbit doesn't generate the list directly from the we

semental, regarding 'download all with orbit; i tried enabling it for ie by selecting integrate with maxthon but orbit wouldn't let me and said i didn't have maxthon installed(which is true). i also tried looking in orbit's resources for this particular dialog to see how it's called but i couldn't find it. .. so it seems, that download all is mathon-only feature..

hi john, i tried again today and it did log me in after 3 attempts or so.. so it sounds more like you have connection settings issues in kmeleon. i also tried logging in with 1.5.0 which had a bug with javascript crippling the login process in gmx mail site.. so i thought this might be the problem if you're using that version.. but again i was able to login with 1.5.0 and the error console

to use grab, you'll need to configure it for kmeleon, to do that; do this: 1- open grab.exe 2- click on the 'action' button and select preferences 3- click on monitoring tab 4- select custom, click the browser button and point it to k-meleon.exe juju's macro has some commands for 1.1.x just change LINKURL to LinkURL also try this macro: (right click on any link: se

i have no idea why it logs in immediately with cff me, it took me several times to login but certainly not 10.. maybe 4 or 5 and the same thing happens with internet explorer, firefox and opera maybe they like cff better try this, maybe it will work: delete cache contents and cookies tools>privacy>clear data> cache and cookies restart kmeleon, then change user agent to firefox
