QuoteZvonko QuoteJohnHellMay look a web bug, instead a browser bug ... The button works e.g. in Edge (Windows 10) or in Chrome 49! A web designer is supposed to check his page with the most common html/js engines. Some do some do not. p.s. The browsers You mention have different HTML and JavaScript engines. As per Bug guidelines we check with a Firefox not a Chrome or Edge browser w

Quotegrob I thought about 2 other things that could be implemented and i want to hear your feedback. The first feature that i thought is when you put the cursor on a tab, the screen could show the tab's content semi-transparent in order to know the activity of the tab without having to press it. That could make the user's navigation faster on many ocations, and could be optional.

QuoteJohnHell Account Security Issue FAQs We have confirmed, based on a recent investigation, that a copy of certain user account information was stolen from our network in late 2014 by what we believe is a state-sponsored actor. The account information may have included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, hashed passwords (the vast majority with bcrypt) and, in some c

QuotecallahanYou are approaching a milestone ... sad to say I am right behind you, next month I will be 72 ... how fast the years go. James is AFAIK Your age & I am a mere 8 years younger than You. No young NERDS here. & I am not nerdy anyway. disrupted adapted a FF addon that can fake "referer" for my benefit/use way back. No idea when he posted. Possibly it can

Quotefoliator Oops -- sorry about that! I should have noticed the dates in those posts! :O Something needs to be done about how easy it is for this forum to be spammed. The documentation pages are riddled with spam, too, at least they were the last time I viewed them. No, the two spams were from today. So You answered to a recent post. We wanted this forum easily accessible / free of bar

Quotefoliator I'm wondering what version of K-Meleon you folks are using. Both 74 and 76 RC allow you to automatically reload pages. QuoteReLoader Posted by: ReLoader (CBL217-132-112-12.bb.netvision.net.il) Date: January 02, 2004 07:20AM The two spammer posts I just deleted have fetched up a real old thread from 0.8.2 times or so. The jsnj who posted helped to develop 0.9 later.

adodupan from Bosnia. Maybe he moved on? He said he would. His 1.8 is contemporary of 74. Referer = which page send You. Sometimes You do not want the page to know. Some pages may bar You if You do not allow the browser to send referer info. Referer info can be spoofed/faked. p.s. IMHO people from adodupan's area have a sense of humour that is not understood by people from othe

Quotesiria Modern printers are so much cheaper now than 20y ago, and time is precious too... You are right BUT: These printers are cheaper because their ink/toner is so much more expensive. The firms nowadays make their money via selling the supplies not the printers. An old printer is free - that costs even less money than a cheap printer. An old printer may still have needle

Maybe try the following: Take a new SeaMonkey, copy mail into RAM, open SM Composer, paste code into a new page and save as HTML. Open that HTML with K-Meleon1.5.x for printing. Quotecurious This procedure was working well until about 3 months ago when my email said it was loading but even letting it sit for an hour it would still not fully load to enable me to read them I went through

Maybe I do not understand all. But: When the text of a hyperlink is selected for the right click menu You have two cases (maybe even more): 1.) Right click over the link -> the context menu for that is selected. 2.) Right click on another part of the page (not over the link) -> another context menu is selected. That is a different menu. Greetings from Germany p.s. W

Most likely. Update of virus software, changed setting or new virus software. Make sure that the protections software is in learning mode and make sure that K-Meleon has the right to go to the internet. Put protection program into learning mode and allow K-Meleon.exe. Also make sure that K-Meleon.exe is in a folder that has rights to start an exe. Less likely. Change/edit in skin can in

Quotesiria Seriously... without checking again on my unbearable vista box, but if I recall correctly, dont't the newer KMs since 74/75 even have a DIRECT LINK in the lower right corner to open the "previous session"? You are probably right. The default window can have it. But who of the older K-Meleon users will ever see that instead of an old profile that opens a custom home

Quotegrob Hello people! I am an undergraduate student in the field of Computer Science and i have to complete an assignment that has to be based on an open source project. Quote4td8s I didn't have this youtube problem when using KM76 RC. Maybe it only happens with KM 75 & earlier. KM76 RC's UA string is probably in their supported browser list. They check IMHO the part of the string that says "Firefox number".

Quotefoliator ... but when I went to access the account management page on my ISP's site, I was scolded for using an outdated browser and couldn't log in at all. I think sometimes that newer Javascript is the culprit. Either that, or the site has some other way of detecting the true version of a browser. ... Change the ISP and tell them why. Yes IMHO it must be the JavaScr

Every once in a while You find a page that does not like K-Meleon's update cycle. Or the browser name or... The world wants to be deceived. This a FAQ and the answer is: Spoof the Firefox version that the page wants. BTW. Youtube likes my nightly FF string when I post comments.:O You can use the useragent.kmm from K-Meleon 1.5-1.6.(in attached archive) Create

Quotedrneroli I'm probably just missing something but is there any way to stay on the tab you're on when you open a new tab? Possibly. When You right click on a link You have the option open in "background tab". For other aspects F2 -> Browsing and Tabbed Browsing where You can change general settings. I set mine to open in the background whenever I expect a wa

QuoteMikk QuoteJamesD In K-Meleon 76 the data for logins is in the "logins.json" file. You might also need the "key3.db" file. Earlier versions were different. I think that K-Meleon 75.1 used the "signons.sqlite" file. The random number file was used in early K-Meleons up to and including the 1.x versions.Neither in 1.6 nor 1.7 I find any file in profiles see

Quotesiria Too complicated for everyday use ;-) But great for occasionally testing new strings that aren't in the menu yet. QuoteMichael Sattler I created the two files as described. But where can I change the UA string now? In older versions this was under settings/paranoia. Is it not there anymore? Haven't checked in new version, but there used to be 3-4 ways, for different ta

Quote4td8s AND another thing: Build K-meleon with Visual Studio 2013 if you want it to run on "legacy" CPUs like Intel Pentium 3s & older and AMD K7 CPUs & older (Athlon XP/Sempron). Attempting to build or create K-meleon with Visual Studio 2015 will KILL support for old CPUs and require minimum Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64/Sempron 64 (aka AMD K8) CPUs with SSE2 support.

Quoterodocop I want to ask you, folks: do we need KM-paranoid-build for maximum privacy? Please share your opinions! No because You can only prevent it mostly (but not totally) by going through slowing anonymiser proxy combined with switching off Flash and JavaScript and load all pages and items always & freshly = no Cache use! IMHO it is sufficient to have the option of a Profile th

Different profiles is IMHO good. To limit what can be found out. But bear in mind that the fonts (if You have writing programs installed) You have installed and Your IP are fairly unique already. While JavaScript is on. Web bugs, the content of Your cache, flash cookies can be used. Then comes Your browser and version. http://browserspy.dk/ So You can be IMHO fingerprinted and traced

Quotesiria Bookmark target is not in preferences anymore? Am I mistaken or aren't you the one whose history is also forever broken, and no one can reproduce? That's certainly the same weird reason, profile related, must be something on your system. Often some security/privacy/cleanup tool etc., no idea. Preferences: Bookmarks target does not always work anymore. Not on my system.

QuoteSlickone On my machine, they aren't in bookmarks.html or places.sqlite. KM76b3 (I think) Go to menu item. Configuration -> Profile Directory -> bookmarks.html. Provided that You have the plugin bookmarks.dll active the file should be there. Where the location really is, depends on Your PC system and Your settings. Else You can look up and alter its location in Prefere
