I've noticed as well and wondered that nobody did complain. So I thought that it was just me. I've deleted the existing user.js file, made a new one and it works now in both KM 75.0 and KM 75.1.

Thanks for the update! Bitmaps for "back" and "forward" buttons are changing colors correctly now. So does the bitmap for the "stop" button. The bitmap for the UA button on the privbar gets also picked up correctly now. Only minor differences I can still notice compared to v75.0 (Win7) - they are not relevant for me and I hope you won't call me a nitpicker

The unhexed 18 series seem to be available here. Another source with the unhexed ESR version too (I can't guarantee for the trustworthiness of the source). OT: I see that Google search brings up the respective thread of our forum when searching for the above. IMHO this is rather an unnecessary risk than a benefit. I won't go into details but I assume you know what I mean. Therefo

QuoteJohnHellHey, but it's not only me, but Yogi too. @Dorian You can test with the Klassic skin shipped with K-Meleon and see if everything works as expected for you. Don't forget to also enable the privbar with the UA button enabled.

Thanks for the new beta! Two skin (Klassic) related questions: 1. The back and forward buttons are now always colored, I mean even with no visited site. 2. The UA button image is not that from the privbar. Has something changed? Otherwise the button works fine. (K-Meleon 75.1u1b/Win7)

UH OH: Windows 10 will share your Wi-Fi key with your friends' friends The password must be stored centrally by Microsoft on their server. Even so it is encrypted, that doesn't mean that MS couldn't easily decrypt it (since it was encrypted with their own software) and share it with some three letter agencies or other venerable institutions conform CISA.

It's hard to argue with someone who lives there. It's your own experience and the way you feel about it, no matter if you are only part of a minority who feels so. On the other side, it's a fact that Putin is more popular at home than any other Western leader. You don't have to tell us why but you could just ask for yourself. QuoteJohnHellI hope you updated anyway with the installer because this had quite a few bugs fixed too. Nope, I didn't. I would never use the installer. I would rather do without Flash. Actually that's what I've done. Watched HTML5 if possible. BTW, thanks for the update.

Quoteguenter Yes I can understand the sentiment and feelings. But then I studied history and such topics at the university level. Yogi, You can recreate such feelings when You read the accounts of "Zeitzeugen" (witness of a time period). Especially dissenters. I hardly can imagine that you can, no matter how much you have studied or how much books you have read. For sure it can be of h

Hitler and Stalin, allies? What next? Friends? Do you know how "germans-1933-1945" felt? I'm asking because I don't. Furthermore, do you also know about the reasons why "germans-1933-1945" felt however they felt? I mean, are you aware about the geopolitical and economic constellation of that decade? There is no need for much imagination. I could come up with

Quoterodocop These guys do know how to lie and how to control minds. They use methods, developed in 1930-40-th as well as modern communication and social techs. Speaking of methods developed in 1930-40-th - do you know who the real propaganda masters of those decades were? BTW, those methods are still in use... ===== "Warum schweigen die Lämmer" by Dr. Rainer Mausfeld, a prese

@rodocop //offtopic// I'm comparing some articles of RT and RussiaInsider with those of Western main media outlets from Germany, the USA and the UK, almost on a daily basis. You'll find bias and propaganda on both sides. Regarding bias and propaganda, often our 'free' media is even overtrumping RT and RI. So far only reading both sides can help one making his own judgem

@foliator I see. Nice and clean site. While turning off "media.windows-media-foundation.play-stand-alone" and "media.directshow.enabled" let you choose between opening the file in your default player and downloading the file, it also has a drawback. Namely, whatever option you choose the file has to be written to the HD first so the player can read it. The files wil

QuotesiriaDecided to rename my HOSTS file and => BINGO! The video page shows up. Have blocked some two dozen sites in HOSTS like google-analytics, googleapis... The above are blocked here too. If you use HostsMan you can disable your HOSTS file with one click. Besides, it offers other handy features as well.

QuoteJamesD I must not have something enabled that I should on my system. Javascript is allowed and flashblock is off, but all that I see at https://vimeo.com/132980067 is an empty white screen. Win 7 (32 bit) KM 75.0 Try a forced reload. With JavaScript enabled and Flashblock deactivated: It also plays fine if I disable JavaScript and leave Flashblock enabled.

Quotefoliator @Yogi: IE9 always opened them externally, and so did an old version of Firefox (after I responded to the confirmation dialog), although I don't use either of those browsers anymore. The Web has changed since. Most media content is embedded and not meant to be played externally so you are forced to use the provider's player and made difficult to grab the content. So, if

Quotefoliator In KM75 I'm trying to bring up the dialog asking what to do with a video or audio file when I click its link, so that I can specify an external player. Instead, those files are opening and playing in the browser, which is not what I want. Does it work the way you wish with other browsers? E.g. Firefox? Any links so we can test?

Retested again, with the same result (Win7/KM75). Video plays only with scripting disabled (disabled scripting deactivates flashblock too). The entry in the whitelist has no effect. Maybe someone else can test on Win7?

The above work around became obsolete with K-Meleon 75 which by default works fine with Flashblock on YouTube.

QuoteJohnHell This is an entry I added years ago: https://vimeo.com Plays just fine: https://vimeo.com/132980067 It plays fine as long as Flashblock isn't active. With scripting and Flashblock enabled it won't play even with 'https://vimeo.com' added to the whitelist. At least that's the case for me (Win7/KM75). This is not a real issue for me since disabli

I can confirm after a short test on Vimeo. With Flashblock enabled I get only the player. As soon as I disable Flashblock and reload the page the video plays fine. Win7 64bit, K-Meleon 75 (fresh install).

@desga2 I can't give advise for what you must do but I can tell what I'm doing. After more than 10 years I switched from W2k to Win7 and never looked back. So far I'm pleased with Win7 and don't intend to upgrade. Extended support for Win7 is till 2020! Till then much things can happen or change. One is for sure. I'll never use an OS which I don't have a full
