Yup, I think it's bug 880.

It's probably possible to use the "<link rel='Next' ...>" information, though it won't work in pages that don't supply it. In fact, I wonder if there isn't already a macro that does this. Edit: In case there really is no existing macro that does this, I've created a "go next" bookmarklet that can be easily turned into a macro by w

guenter, I'm not sure whether a special build is required for full Unicode support, but the version I'm using still cannot display non-Latin characters in the title bar, layer buttons, and menu; for example try http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-Meleon.

I'm pretty sure there are known problems with non-Latin characters on the title bar and layer buttons. Ulf stated in one of the bug reports that K-Meleon assumed Latin-1 in a few places, and I don't think they have been fixed.

(Sorry for taking so long to reply.) Yes, that's the same bookmark URL as the one I have. I'm not sure why it doesn't work there.... Maybe a different version? I'm using 1.1 beta.

Don't bookmark the TinyURL homepage, but rather the "TinyURL!" link in the "Add TinyURL to your browser's toolbar" section. If done correctly, opening the bookmark from K-Meleon's homepage should bring you directly to the "TinyURL was created!" page http://tinyurl.com/create.php?url=http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/ .

Quotekko :/ Never tried one of the recent builds? Oops, I thought I had to fiddle with about:config, macros, or even kmPrefs.jar. :-P

The next version will have it through command line.

neolem, I think you can simply bookmark the "TinyURL!" link in their homepage (in the "Add TinyURL to your browser's toolbar" section), and then open the bookmark to use it.

kko, How difficult would it be for someone to change the number of displayed entries?

QuoteHao Jiang Actually, hostperm.1 can do more things. For example, it can block the iframe from specific domain. Try the latest K-MeleonCCF ME 0.07 Beta4, it has this function built-in. Oh, that's interesting! I'll definitely try it out.

I've filed it as bug 900.

Hm, I notice that you know these things already, sorry.

Oh, one more thing hostperm.1 can do that the dialogs can't: whitelist session cookies. (Actually I'm not very sure about the popup blacklist thing--SeaMonkey doesn't have a UI for it either, but I think it's really possible to do manually.)

In (Edit > Preferences > Privacy), the two "Exceptions" buttons and the "Authorized websites" button actually manipulate hostperm.1. hostperm.1 is very slightly more powerful than that--it allows you to blacklist popups as well (not just whitelist)--but that's all. And yeah, things blocked from hostperm.1 won't get downloaded.

Quotekko QuotesimpleinventorDoes anyone have the source code for the original tabbed version of k-meleon AFAIK this code is not open source. Isn't that... um... illegal, according to the GPL? Anyway, doesn't hurt to ask Dorian to make sure.

K-Meleon's graphical UI is written using MFC. I'm sure there are lots of good books on MFC / Windows programming out there; they should be a good start. By the way, I happen to like GTK+ better than Windows API.

Hi, I suggest you contact Dorian or Hao through e-mail for the source code.

I have no idea what's wrong, but I suggest you try installing K-Meleon and Cyberhawk in another computer and see whether Cyberhawk complains there.

Actually there's already a browser doing this, but yeah, it's a neat feature :-) It's a bit different from your idea, though. It doesn't prefetch the page, but rather use the cache.

Wow, are pages without titles so rare that nobody noticed this before? (Or is it just because nobody uses the Favorites plugin?) Now that I think of it, I can't remember ever having a bookmark with empty title either. Heh, good one, Enaitz. P.S.: For people too lazy to search: Bug 894

1) There's an unofficial searchbar plugin but it's, well, unofficial. 2) If you're using the Bookmarks plugin, you can bookmark http://www.google.com/search?q= and use g as the nickname.

A bit more info: SeaMonkey 1.0.2 has the same problem, but not Firefox 2.0.0.1, so this is likely to have been fixed in newer versions of their rendering engine.

If I remember correctly it would be gone if you disable site icons from the Preferences dialog and delete layers.bmp from your skin directory.

Quan Kieu, Have you figured out how to do this? It seems that you need to set network.http.redirection-limit to 0 to disable redirection, but that would break a lot of sites.

Well, it's not impossible... someone with the knowledge can create a replacement for about:cache that is more useful, and then it can be shipped with K-Meleon (or even pushed upstream to Mozilla!). The problem is just how. :-) There's one thing I don't really understand from what you said: you use IE to browse K-Meleon's cache? (If yes, what's the difference?)

Quotep_pI hate right-clicking. What about middle click or double click? They both work.
