Ok, this is so weird. So you don't have the Bookmarks menu, you don't have the Bookmarks button, which means that the Bookmarks plugin is disabled, but you can bring the Bookmarks editor with CTRL+B and you can see the settings in the preference panel At this poing I only have one idea and is garbage on preference settings after a crash on which depends the menu and button. Yo

Parece que funciona ------------------ Looks like it works

Quotejgf I have changed no settings, the "show button" is still checked, but there is no button. The bookmarks.html is intact; and when I save a bookmark I can select among my various subfolders. But the ony way to access my bookmarks now is to go to profiles and open that html. Checking the "menu bar" option merely adds another bar containing buttons for the k-meleon page

QuoteVoidsX QuoteJohnHell Have in mind that advanced users, here, can be accounted with the fingers of a hand and we can't test/use all extensions. Would be great, but we have not time or people to do it voluntary. Join us and help. The browser is open for help in the development I only can say that we do our best taking our time to help others . I would if I could lol, I'm jus

QuoteVoidsX Thanks john, but your Stylish 2.0.2 link downloads Fire commander 0.3.11 ... which seems to be a file manager. [...] I tried installing Stylish 2.0.7 from the mozilla addons page and it actually works, just need to install styles by copying the URL into Stylish manually. You just went to the last link there are a few more in the Stylish thread. Clearly George made a mistake

Quoterodocop The worst thing is that such a behaviour of sime sites (like Facebook) is mostly far from following web standards... But they can force to be web standard, as they are part of the W3C: https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Member/List

I know what you mean, but Mozilla says: RESOLVED - WONTFIX https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178506 About multiple downloads, maybe there is some pref to hide the download window somewhere and just go to about:downloads to see what is being downloaded, but in K-meleon this is a very basic display compared to Firefox.

Looks like userstyles.org uses Stylish, so go to this thread and follow George instructions: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,131133 It is the 2.0.2 version, but the Stylish add-on changelog doesn't seem to be critical through it to the current 2.0.7. In the other hand, as easy as would be use .css files included in the main usercontent.css (with the "@import url(site

Quotejgf After about three months of using k-meleon the "Bookmarks" button has disappeared. Everything I find online merely discusses the bookmarks themselves being lost; but the bookmarks are still there, I can open bookmarks.html in the browser and the links work, it is only the button that is missing. As I find it a bit of a kludge to load that html file and scroll through it

For localhost urls you need a server. So http://localhost/whatever.html doesn't load a local file, but a file served by a server. What Opera does is rewrite the URL. When Opera displays file://localhost/c:/x.html, what it is actually doing is open file:///c:/x.html. Do the test and you will see, foliator

@foliator, that has no sense. Localhost is 127.0.0.1 in all Windows and Linux. I run my own web server and it would be a bad day if I couldn't use localhost as url hostname. @Gary, I don't use 76 version, so I can't help much, but check Edit menu > Preferences > Browsing section > Finding websites. There, uncheck the domain autocompletion and restart K-meleon. If

If you don't give more details..., we are not magicians so we can't know what is your environment, K-meleon version, site you are testing, links, videos... Details. Just details. If they are not private, provide details.

QuoteJamesD I guess I did not do something quite correct. Columns - I don't see any. I extracted the file from JohnHell and replaced the file by the same name in the omni.ja file in my KM 76RC2. The omni.ja file where I did the replacement was modified on 11/19/2016 and had a size 10,723,547. I made the zip and changed the name to omni.ja and replaced the one in the KM root folder.

We are the opposite sides . I use very often. I'm trying now to improve it a little, but, for whatever reasons, my commands are not accepted. I can't make the window to remember the size and, for whatever reason, it takes the kmeleon.display.xul values, instead of what I tell. Looks like setting a persist and an id, doesn't help. Also I was trying to make it horizontally s

Ok, this night I said "no more, no more!!!". (Or anymore, whatever) And I dig how the ****** could I do to show the dates in the history, because, I don't know you, but not knowing the date/time I visited a site just makes me crazy, aside absolutely useless. And until now I went to the SQlite Manager, copy the epoch time cell and convert to human readable. Crazy, really, very cr

QuoteJamesD EDit: Slower cpu and less RAM did not seem to change anything. Depending on what you consider slower. On my Pentium 4 2.8Ghz I suffer the described above, except windows hangs, every day . With the example website told above, it took to my system about ~4-5 ±11 seconds to display the source code. OH, I forgot, with 75.0. Edit: check time again.

Siria forgot to link the messages (is it me, or the Phorum search function doesn't work correctly lately?): http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,128132,128271#msg-128271 There you have a Chrome stylized skin with the buttons/toolbars needed to work. Anyway, you don't need to change your skin, just add this to your toolbars.cfg , and copy the win.bmp file with the icons (a s

Oh, I remember now that Dorian included a toolbar too to be used in title-less configuration with icons to close, minimize and restore functions. Have a look there too (View > Toolbars) if you want to continue using it. It might be in 75.1, if I'm not wrong.

Check in about:config if you have the preference kmeleon.display.hideTitleBar set to true. Should be in false. This is the manual way. As you don't tell the version you use, can't tell if you have it in the preferences panel (F2 to open) under GUI appearance. It isn't in 75.0.

ENGLISH I'm not able to get a working extension. I can access the XUL windows but, on change the preferences, it gives a window.o

Me pillas a

If you search further, you'll find it is some kind of way to find out network is working by NSPR i/o functions. It is harmless, but you can block it with the firewall, if you wish. I have done it myself, and it works exactly the same way. But I'll add something else. There are quite a few programs out there that use the same methods for checking network availability. From my point

QuoteSomeAnotherOne Anyway there is still one small related question I'm interested in -- for what K-Meleon tries to connect to a random port on localhost? (it does it on every startup). Since the beginnings of time, that has happened to every Gecko (Mozilla engine) based browser. Try Firefox or try Seamonkey and you'll see. Why it does? The engine talks to itself. http://k

QuoteSomeAnotherOne Why after I'm connecting to some HTTPS site using K-meleon 75, it also sends lot of data to a rtc4-nyc.b6.io host and keeps connection with lba2-nyc.b6.io? Also, I'm receiving lot of incoming ICMP traffic (it looks like some data incapsulated to ICMP) from that rtc4-nyc.b6.io, even after K-meleon was closed hours ago. Probably there is much more such crap whi
