Also the reason could be the local proxy as I use filters working like traffic interceptors (K9Web Protection at XP and AdFender at Win7). But KM does crash even when they are switched off or even unloaded...

no, siria, we have already elaborated that chrome.favicons pref doesn't matter. Also I have nothing in 'omnibox' as my KM crashes from the very first time. From first sites. I have no idea what is difference, but I have experienced the same effects on 2 completely different PCs. Maybe the crucial difference is OS language?

Once again - it's briilliant possibility for people from different countries to make joint effort in solving of different tasks and problems. Like we do here with K-Meleon.
